That's what happens when you take a shitty car up to 100 and slam on the brakes like a moron. Learn to downshift to slow down. Also, the car is Japanese...
ughh you apparently don't realize that he intended to do that. he was changing them the next day anyway so he thought he'd have fun before he threw them away. and the ones after these ones were treated the same way before they were changed 1st gear with the brakes on and driving around for a 20min brought the rotor and caliper to a bright orange glow
Did you get rotors replaced as well? If not then you may have ruined them. They warp quite easily at those temps. Which may be causing the unusually high temps since that can also cause the pads to rub on the rotor while the brakes are not engaged, maintaining a moderate amount of heat on the pads and rotors. Or you could have a stuck caliper.
@xXxchipperchopperxXx no he was just planning to replace them anyway at the time. he raced at the local autocross so every couple brake jobs he replaced the calipers and rotors as well they were cheap and went threw a lot of abuse the rotors where only $8each and the calipers were $15each. he hasn't had that car for years, he now has a stage 3 b5 s4 now you can check out our videos on his channel evan002
