For some reason the tune to this song makes me think of old animated movies (possibly animal based) - it just sounds like the kind of music that would be used.
I've seen them a few times. I love them! I go to Towersey Festival every year, and they are so energetic and amazing. If you like Folk festivals have you ever been to Towersey Festival? x
Awesome! I love Towersey! All my family go, from parents to distant distant cousins haha! It's a great weekend out! It's a shame you don't go anymore! x
I love this song if theirs!!! Saw them perform it at Chagstock on sunday, was the best :D we all stood dancing like mad as well, singing along. Not a bad song to be dancing to next to a good looking guy. Plus when your near the front. The heat and the noise gets to you and you lose all care and just dance! XD
Why is everyone going on about tuning! This band is amazing! saw them for the first time last weekend Latitude Festival and they blew the roof off the Word Arena! I was grinning from ear to ear and dancing round like an idiot! This band feeds your soul and brings lots of fun and happiness to the people that see them live! That's all that matters! xxx
Lots of pixellating but maybe that's me - just seen this at Latitude and it went down a storm - and the audience sang the chorus better than this crowd
i saw them at larmer tree and this song was played. i was to drunk to listen to the chorus but i still shouted wat i cud hear (mainly just up and down). above all else i cud definately tell tht the instrument players were incredible nd knew how to move a crowd. the fact tht they dance wen they play beautifal songs adds to the skill tht they posess. if u disagree then all i can say is go fuck ureself :)
Shut up and listen to the music, the violins are correctly in tune or they wouldn't play them like that and if they were would that make this music worse?
@bigquackers1998 Some people can't listen to the music and give it its due, when the instruments are out of tune, and make no mistake, they are; it's not so much the violin but the oboe, a dreadfully thin and reedy sound reminiscent of school bands at their worst. Several of the comments below don't seem to understand @DrumMaster's initial comments: It's not the "tuning", it's whether they're "in tune" with each other, and they aren't - that's not an opinion, that's a fact, they just aren't!
@DrumMasterT Theres no correct way to tune an instrument. You have it how you want it to make the noise/tune you want and if you meant the other kind of tune then just because there using the same instrument doesn't mean they need to play the same tune together. Alot of what Bellowhead does is freestyle I've noticed so its hard to say when they do make mistakes if they do.
Your welcome to your opinion ofcourse but 'm welcome to disagree with it :)
@tommat00 No I am sure the violins they are playing are perfectly in tune. I was talking about their intonation. If you're gonna go and play in the albert hall you bloody put your fingers in the right place. Also there is a correct way to tune an instrument. It's not a mistake or freestyle either, it's just shit playing.
@DrumMasterT Well thats like saying that every guitar that is being played out there is tuned the same or like saying Hendrix would have had his guitar tuned the same way as Blackmore. In simpler terms tuning changes the noise the instrument makes so you tune it to what you want it to be.
Bellowhead over the last six years have won many many many awards and I doubt they get that through shit playing :
@tommat00 I wasn't saying that. Yes you can indeed put instruments in different tunings, but they are still correctly in tune. You're not exactly going to tune each guitar string a semi tone away from eachother. That would be an incorrect way to tune the instrument. Also the violins here are in standard tuning G D A E here which is what I was talking about. Lots of people have won awards for stuff that is considerd shit but I highly doubt that the players wanted create a really disonant harmony.
@DrumMasterT Listen to the song when I went to seem them back in february this song sounded practically the same with the strings doing the same thing. (I have checked video footage to make sure I'm right on that, February is a while ago I know. :) ) That would suggest that its meant to be like that. And again I maintain that if an instrument makes the noise you want then its correctly tuned, even if it the tuning is considered unusual.
@britishAlienCompany I can sit and listen to them for hours cause they aren't a boring repetitive band. Hav to say I like Jessie J price tag live but the actual single I'd awful.
went to see them in bradford on halloween for free and it was well worth clearing up afterwards!! we met most of the band and got their autographs! The new album is AWESOME!!
Saw them at Dartford recently, amazing live have to say seem much better now than they do at proms then
