After his soul went into the Lake of Souls, Lady Evanna fished him out, they had a conversation about setting his soul free from the Earth. After that they went to Des Tiny's lair, where Desmond Tiny made him a Little Person. He gave him a short life and no tongue so he couldn't speak.

So Darren and Steve were Des Tiny's sons (Desmond Tiny full name) but Darren killed Steve then Mr.Tiny asked Darren to be his son, which he already was. Darren didn't want to so he made Steve kill him, since Des Tiny is gay.

After he died he descended into the Lake of Souls
