From what I understand, you ARE a feminist. (Yes, guys can be feminists.) You are just not a feminist extremists, nor am I. I believe in equality for all, an right now women are not equal to men everywhere. In many countries, women are treated as property. In the USA, women make 78% of a man's salary on average for the same exact job. Back then the requirement to protect required many men to give up their lives, one such example being the Titanic. Women boarded the boats while the men were left to drown like rats.
Both roles had their pros and their cons, but feminism tells you men had it nothing but good and women had it nothing but bad.
The wage gap exists because of the personal choices men and women make in regards to employment, along with many other factors.
Men tend to take the tougher, riskier, and dangerous jobs that pay more.
Men also take less time off, willing to make longer commutes to their jobs, willing to work less flexible hours, take less sick days, among many other factors.
A gap does exist but not for the reasons feminists say it is.

I find this extremely strange, it may be due to the area in which I live, I'm in the North of England, anyway. If I wanted my girlfriend to make me something, for example, a tea, I'd shout: "That kettle's boiling awfully quiet!". Or something along those lines, (in a jokey fashion) and from personal experience, she's happy with that, she does the same with me and I call her a cheeky beggar and brew up. i fully agree with you leptir. it kills me to know that there are guys out there that still treat women like ants. It all comes down to how we are raised and what our parents values are. i was raised in a military setting, as in i grew up where everyone was treated with equal respect, no matter what their color of their skin is or what gender they are. Anyone who still lives under the 19th century roof should go out and realize that values have changed significantly since then.

I've never thought of this sandwich business as something so serious, to be honest, whenever I ask my girlfriend for a sandwich in such a demeaning tone, I generally use it as a joke, and I don't truly want a sandwich. I agree and think about this topic almost the same way, but people will not be treated equally any time soon because there are those people who are too ignorant or closed-minded to listen and understand the reasons for your argument or to take a good long look at themselves and there actions in order to better themselves and those around them. Not much I can say that wasn't already stated. From a purely moral standpoint ("morality" by the standards of UPB), there's nothing wrong with any human asking any other for anything. If it's abusive, then there's problems, and they should be solved from situation to situation. Feminism is fucking stupid. The use of feminism is promoting the ideal that women are unequal, rather I think that it's better NOT emphasising on this issue, and continue education in schools about equality for everyone rather than a specific group. This allows all old discriminatory fogeys to die out, and a new age without a consideration of discrimination even existing would be the best approach.
I must say I think this video holds all the answers in terms of the war between sexes... I'm 12 and I genuinely listened to this video with interest. I've never thought of this sandwich business as something so serious, to be honest, whenever I ask my girlfriend for a sandwich in such a demeaning tone, I generally use it as a joke, and I don't truly want a sandwich. Same with the kitchen thing, I've always only used it as a joke, not thinking it was that big of a deal in this time and age, maybe its just where I live is more open about such things, and more modernized?

I agree and think about this topic almost the same way, but people will not be treated equally any time soon because there are those people who are too ignorant or closed-minded to listen and understand the reasons for your argument or to take a good long look at themselves and there actions in order to better themselves and those around them. It seems as though people in general move to the extremes of arguments (ie. abortion, health care, wars, just to name a few recent topics in US politics)

Leptir Serious Time is a good idea but add a little more emotion when you talk about it and if you really was reading off a paper then next time try just having basic points you want to get across that way you can talk about things with a little more flow. otherwise it was pretty good

Not much I can say that wasn't already stated. From a purely moral standpoint ("morality" by the standards of UPB), there's nothing wrong with any human asking any other for anything. If it's abusive, then there's problems, and they should be solved from situation to situation. I'll be honest, I haven't had to fight in the toil that is arguing with feminists, so I'm not sure exactly what I'm responding to, but the way I see it, there aren't any problems as long as consent and appreciation thrive

First off, not to troll but...the "sandwich" delema is actually about how hungry men are after sex, and is supposedly demeaning towards women since they are only seen as tools for a man's sex life/happiness (not saying that i think that way, but that's the other side). Anyway, a friend of mine (who i used to be infactuated with) is a "feminist".

Feminism is fucking stupid. The use of feminism is promoting the ideal that women are unequal, rather I think that it's better NOT emphasising on this issue, and continue education in schools about equality for everyone rather than a specific group. This allows all old discriminatory fogeys to die out, and a new age without a consideration of discrimination even existing would be the best approach.

I must say I think this video holds all the answers in terms of the war between sexes... I'm 12 and I genuinely listened to this video with interest. I haven't had any real encounter with people who really think that way and I am not surprised that there are people who can remain equal in a situation such as yours leptir. my parents dont want me home alon and exactly what you said he was yelling at her becasue she would not make him a burger or something and they broke up and i called her to ask her if i could go to her house so she could babysit me there she said sure. and i finally got my brother and her to watch this video and they together again so leptir1 i say thanks and my brother and his girlfriend is grate full to thank
