  • I truly do hope that one day, we can move past our bullshit nature. That one day, we'll realize what is truly important. That one day, we too, will get to boldly go where no man has gone before.

  • They should had Spock(from ST2) instead of Archer.

  • I'm ready for a new star trek series... whos with me?

  • They didn't have Racheal Garret or John Harriman! AAAGGGHHH, They cant get an epic scene right!

  • I think Patrick Stewart's part sounds best...

  • If they had made the Enterprise series, the final series into what Rodenbary had invisioned the original series to be, a space western, than they would have done a hell of a lot better with that series.

    Long time Trekie

  • @SunTrapped Actually, Roddenberry wrote in The Making of Star Trek that Star Trek was always about a positive future made seemingly believeable, plus *shades* of Horatio Hornblower and Wagon Train. Also, Star Trek (when under Roddenberry) always made opinionated statements: Anti-communisim, pro-socialisim (only if thoughfully employed), and loads of pro-Christianity.

Star Trek: Enterprise was ALREADY basically a western, it just lacked the *believeable* part, especially season 1.

  • @Idazmi7

Where did you see loads of pro-Christianity in Star Trek? They showed a wedding or two that appeared to be Christian, but I can think of many instances when Star Trek was directly critical of religion in general. I presume that would include Christianity. From what I know, Roddenberry wasn't a fan of religion and I don't think his artistic creation would show otherwise.

  • @trekgeek1 Tos episodes:

Let that be your last battlefield - by Gene R

Bread and Circuses - By Gene R

The Cage - By Gene R

Actually watch HIS episodes, and forgets athiests trying to nullify it with Rick Berman influence

  • @Idazmi7

Let that be your last battlefield- not by Gene.

    Bread and Circuses-Okay.

The Cage-by Gene, but pro Christian ?

"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." -Gene

"Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry objected to the characters' search for God in general, and more particularly, the idea of a God as portrayed by Western religion." -Wikipedia (Star Trek V)

    Gene was an Agnostic/Atheist.

  • @Idazmi7 I think the absolute best case you could hope to make is that he was open minded about the universe. This is the spirit of Star Trek;exploration. I don't think he admired any set of theistic doctrines.

"I have always been reasonably leery of religion because there are so many edicts in religion, 'thou shalt not,' or 'thou shalt.' I wanted my world of the future to be clear of that."-Gene

  • @trekgeek1 When did he say those things? I do know that he was raised as a baptist, and that he objected to Star Trek V. (in which God was shot dead by a Klingon) Atheisim (hatred of God) is not Agnosticisim (Every non-Christian who is not an Atheist is an Agnostic)

Also, Wikipedia cannot be a good source for anything: they spent more time quoting other people who worked on Star Trek, not Gene, and I still do not know where the seemingly "polite atheist" statements come from.

  • @Idazmi7

Atheism is not hatred of God. Atheism is a disbelief in God. You can't hate what you don't believe in. I can't hate the Easter bunny. I don't think we should turn this video into a religious debate, but I think your lack of understanding of what an atheist even is may be the reason we're not seeing eye to eye on this. We don't even have an agreed upon set of terms. Non Christians who believe in God are theists. Agnosticism deals with the ability to posses knowledge.

  • @trekgeek1 Tell that to the atheists (aside you) who meet me. :-P

Eh... Maybe they are not true atheists. Either way, I've had to block people who spammed me for MONTHS trying to get me to not believe. (I didn't spam *them*, they just dogged me)

Roddenberry was still raised Baptist, and the quotes are still empty until you can provehe said those things.

  • The Enterprise series finale was almost better than All Good Things.... Almost. :)

  • My favorite tv serie's

  • i want THIS to be the new german national anthem!!!

  • This is one of those quotes that will stand the test of time...at least so long as there's a nerd on the planet earth it will XD

  • Star Trek umarł i nie żyje:( [*]

  • @theufohunter123 i know it did. the style of enterprise was new it was new. the others were spin offs

  • i have to do a monologue for an audition

    it's between this

    or

"red fish, blue fish, one fish, two fish"

i know i'll get thumbs for creativity

  • As bad as Enterprise is, you can admit that this is a pretty fitting end to the TV franchise. I doubt we'd see an entirely new Star Trek tv series soon.

  • This is and was Great when the Series Ended, ENT, I Know that Only Enterprise, From the NX threw 1701D was the Voices, But Could you have added DS9 and Voyager to it.. It would have Been Great to See ALL Captains For the Final Goodbye..

And Before you say it, Capt Ben Sisco was in Charge on the one ship, "Defiant" and the other at Wolf 359 But he was A Captain Flying DS9 in 1 Episode,

Even Sulu had a ship for a few minuets. :) BCB..

  • Captain Picard's voice is obviously the most amazing in this :D

  • Scott Bacula for the win!

  • Star Trek without U.S.S. Enterprise(NCC-1701/-A/NCC-1701-D/E/NX-01) is not Star Trek. It's just set in the Star Trek universe. Btw my favorite series is TOS(love William Shatner in the movies and Leonard Nimoy all along.)

  • Goose bumps!

  • do you know wich episode from TNG it is? i remember that i saw it, but i dont remember the episode ^^

  • Shatner is is good, but for me Spock says it best, as in Wrath of Kahn.

  • i grew up watching starship enterprise , deep space nine and voyager

  • i saw one where captain sulu said part of it and another captain but i cant find it

  • simply great, the enterprise d at the beginning looks very nice ^^

  • This combination of all three major series "Star Trek" is simply great. This transist underlines the whole chronology of the "Star Trek" from Captain Kirk to the Jean-luc Piccard

  • Awesome ending! I never saw ST Enterprise, but this makes me want to watch it!

  • I just got a chill in my spine. This is the best scene in all of Star Trek lore.

  • It is indeed a truly memorable and awesome scene, though I don't really agree with the word "intro". It was more like an outro :)

  • Ok Ok...I finally changed the title of the video..

  • @EvilDevil1218 .... This The Monologue ,in its true meaning is intro in THE THE RELIGION

  • OOO i remember this from an Enterprise episode, it is set on the Enterprise D when the crew mainly Riker is the cook on the NX-01.

  • I'm really glad they kept it as where no MAN has gone before. I hated the idea that it was sexist, I mean if you're going where no-ONE has gone before you aren't going to find much are you?

  • I all ways interpreted the change as one for the Alien members of the crew. As the united effort of all species on Enterprise was to keep exploring.

  • its a outro idiot its from the last episode of Star Trek Enterprise These Are the Voyages

  • yeah but they could have used as an intro I suppose I think it might have worked well

  • :D fantastic :D just pure fantastic :D is all i can say :D heheh 10/5 :D from me :D

  • That was cool. Comparing Star Trek Enterprise to any other Enterprise is like comparing a M4 Sherman Tank to a M60 Main Battle tank. Or the 1700's Enterprise with full sails to the Modern aircraft carrier Enterprise. Just enjoy the fun of it.

  • awesome vid

  • That was pretty cool. The D looked awesome ^_^

  • That'll be the beauty pass.

  • That scene was worth the last episode of ENT - and thats it about the final. It really sucked. Not only that ENT deserved more seasons - it was sad to see Frakes and Sirtis pretending to be, what? 10, 15 years (?) younger. So I deceided to ignore this last episode. Every series had it´s weak episodes or even seasons but I even enjoyed voyager. Maybe I´m just uncriticall.

  • I still hate the fact that the series finale of "ST: Enterprise" felt a lot more like a bonus episode of "TNG." Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing the Enterprise-D again, but Archer's crew deserved their own proper series finale.

  • a bonus episode, or a bogus episode?

  • Two great captains reading those iconic lines... oh and Archer too.

  • Comment removed

  • Star Trek Enterprise is awful.

  • cool

  • My whole family grew up with Star Tek!! From William Shatner(I think it is spelled right),till Scott Bacula.Even though that NX-01 show wasn't very long it still was kinda cool. I can't wait till the new movie comes out!!!

  • I don't know why people gave you bad comments but I agree with you. I grew up watching the original series movies and TNG. It is cool. (P.S, you spelled Will's name right. :) )

  • Bakula should play with his gay voice roles like in american beauty again

  • its an outro O_O

  • NO ONE, and I mean no one, sounds as epic as The Shatner doing those lines.

  • I don't know; that Patrick Stewart kid sounds pretty good himself.

  • @peaceandmetal88 Except for Leonard Nimoy, of course.

  • haha archer sux so much

  • like the new movies or not this video is truly epic.

  • Bad thing is the Original was with the old diodes and transistors when they worked on a panel in TOS, Then with the NX-01 they had the solid state and chips

  • the original enterprise is cool because its original

  • @jack1701e Original as in NX-01 or as in NCC-1701? Both are original in different contexts.

  • ha, that is something to think about. but just remember that this outro was created in 2005,

  • it cant be original they had to create something new and fresh and they did a very good job. my only wish is that William Shatner would have been apart of it

  • You're right!

  • Although not a series Captain.... Garrett (Ent-C) should have had a line, but I guess that would mean Harrimond (Ent-B) would have to have a line too....

How'd he become Capt. anyway??? I know.... just a movie.... but why did they make him such a dipstick!!! He must have won a lottery.... be Captain for a day!!

  • yea, really. he had 0 experience. had to go to the big boys for help. i wanna win that lottery! at least i know where the bathroom is. its always above the curved bottom of the saucer section.

  • this was actually the final scene in the Enterprise series so it's an Outro!

  • OMG total insult fail!

  • Troll.

  • Hi there, it's called my opinion. Deal with it, friggin' hater.

  • For the love of god, let the crew of the Enterprise rest in peace!

  • kick ass but thats not an intro its the ending to enterprise.

  • Awesome

  • I didn't like the CGI they used for the E-D in that fly-past. Didn't look fantastic. Escape pods looked 'flat' and the whole thing looked a little squashed. the TOS Enterprise was good, though.

Would have been nice for them to quickly show all the proceeding Enterprises.

  • Man, I really hope that the 11th movie turns out good. Voyager was the last best in the series, and then came Enterprise. I've seen a few episodes, like the only one when they encounter the Borg (ENT: Regeneration), and I've seen the last episode (ENT: Where No Man Has Gone Before). If Gene Roddenberry was still alive past 1991, Voyager would be better than it already was, and Enterprise would be the greatest.

  • Chills!

  • UPN will cancel Star Trek, but keep America's next top model on. (shaking my head in disgust) Probably the same people that thought it was a good idea to elect Bush for a second term...

  • lol

  • Agreed!

  • i hope to god that the new movie will bring in a lot of money so maybe just maybe parmont will start on a new star trek

  • Agreed here,I'm sick of all these prequels being made.

  • they will have to bring the siereis back

  • @cldstrife i liked enterprise, it was new. i feels like deep space 9 and voyager were based off of TNG and not in the same era.

  • The corporate suits need to keep their money grubbing hands off of Star Trek and let the creative forces take the reins. Not including Berman and Braga who have clearly lost passion for Trek.

  • i agree

  • "Star Trek" LIVES!

  • I mean, the original "Star Trek" LIVES!

Not that bullshit JJ Abrams' "piece of SHIT!"

  • "Star Trek XI" was a big expensive, lens flare filled shirt sandwich that JJ Abrams expects everyone to take a big bite out of and accept it as "Star Trek!"

I don't care how much money it's made, shit is shit!

You like the taste of shit, huh?

  • No Actionguy1 is right, the film was rubbish, the plot was just a re-hash of ST2, the sfx were pedestrian, it was full of plot holes (eg how come Kerk is the only one to remember the "lightning storm in space" thing, why did young Spock shoot kerk out the ship instead of placing him in the brig, what the fuck is red matter and why did old Spock have so much, how can a Romulan mining ship capture a state of the art fed ship so easily,...

  • ...krik going from being through out of the academy to captain of the flag ship in less than a day, did star fleet not try to hunt down the ship that destroyed there ship you know the one with the self fixing warp drive, I could go on), the complete ignoring of existing cannon (the enterprise was over 15 yeas years old (1 5 year under April and 2 5 years with one refit under Pike) when Kirk took over and that was before Pike was paralyzed.)

  • Out of curiosity, do you really want someone to refute your claims, or are you just ranting?

  • If you really feel you must then go right ahead, although how you intend to refute something that's essentially an opinion, backed up with something approximating facts, is a another matter.

  • No, just curious.

  • ... also the interior sets just looked like a factory, and the bridge was on the wrong deck. The cinematography was just appalling Abrams being a TV director, and a crappy one at that, just does not seam to understand 1.85 format. it suffers from what I call transformers syndrome where there so much going on so close to the camera for such a short time that you can work out whats going on. in other words if was a a "big expensive, lens flare filled shirt sandwich"

  • No sir! There was not a damned thing wrong with the "Star Trek" we had, and it was never "stale!"

I'll admit, the last two "ST" theatrical releases sucked ass, but this, "Star Trek XI: JJ's Star Wars Fantasy!" was an atrocity! The bad camera work, the goddamned head ache causing lens flares, not to mention a story that was stupid as hell!

No. Gene Roddenberry would never have approved of any of it!

His memorie was spat on by Jar Jar Abrams!

  • What?

You still don't have any business her! What the hell are you talking about?

You ride the "short bus" to school, don't you?

  • I always considered the "short bus insult" to be way too ambiguous.

You could very easily be claiming the person is a gifted child with an IQ higher than yours.

  • The only good thing about that episode... so sad that so much potential went to waste.

  • What a crappy actor Scott Bakula is!

It sounds like he was reading a cue card.

Just listen to the difference next to 2 REAL actors.

  • Yah i know its so much darker than the original, and why the hell doesn't Kirk start the speech, scince he came first.

  • Because they're doing it in reverse chronological order.

  • the cg modle of the TOS enterprise is disgusting. they got the dementions completely wrong. did they really have to redo the special effects?

  • More like outro. ;-) LOL

  • Well....yeah but I'm sure everyone gets the point. :)
