Leonard and Olivia look so good together and with the theme sang by Waugh ,what a combination to make this one of the classics of all time. Its so moving that it rips the heart and produces a tear but at the same time lifts us from our own worries for a short time. We seem to forget this is one of Shakspeares greatest plays but at least Zefferelli' made a good job of bringing it to the cinema audience.

Knowing the outcome, would Romeo and Juliet have been better off never meeting? Many aspire to reach the level of love and passion of the two star crossed lovers. How can you prove love like this without a fatal ending?

Leonard Whiting poured his soul out in this role. He had such an innocent beauty about his looks. I don't think that anyone in these times could pull that off, but I sure wish someone could in this way. I love, Love!

I love this movie an the distribution was wonderful, a great distribution, and I think that anyone cannot create a movie like this. I cry everywere when I see this movie. Congratulations !

Leonard Whiting was soooo handsome! Zach Efron looks almost exactly like him! I do not like Zefferellis movies, their to flamboyant, but I love this one, the actors made it for me, excellent casting!
