@TheIronMaiden665 Studio time-restrictions probably, or a technical hitch or just plain dumb editing...the complete version is prob. in the BBC vaults as we speak....annoying, but i think the complete version is out on the--- Iron Maiden: EARLY YEARS DVD, as well as other rarities, ive got it and its great, more TOTP videos and feature length concerts and other stuff, Good Luck and........UP THE IRONS!!!!!
If more bands had the balls to refuse to appear unless it was live it may have lasted longer than it did. A brilliant performance by di'anno and the boys - his punk/metal style put Maiden on the road to fame and fortune - despite the past issues, it would be great to see him join the band onstage for the mega encore of IRON MAIDEN.
it was edgey. Maiden these days are vituouso musicians who obviously care very much about their art. But old Maiden were part of a cultural movement. They still are a little bit: the anti-commerical music movement. But back in the day is was a about danger, subculture, darkness and of course, the music. Dianno had a lot to do with that 'coz of his punk sensibilities.
1 Person is not Running Free, but 118 people are Running Free!!! \m/ UP THE IRONS AND PAUL DI'ANNO RULES!!!!

Decent.
Definately more punk than the current Iron Maiden, the 2nd best Maiden era I believe.
JealousySTAR 3 years ago
yeah. the punk metal era is cool, but with bruce they kicked off the NWOBHM ad that's why maiden are as they are today
