I know this bc it was fall and the water temperatures were very cold,and when they were trying to get her temperature up,it said they were trying to get it up to 80,which means that her body temperature was very low which is usually a sign of hypothermia,I could be wrong this is just a guess,but either way there is no way her body would/could turn blue that quickley

@LanaLuthor She was under that water for quite a while before Derek pulled her out. She could have been closer to death than you think so yes it is possible considering how cold the water was and how long she was under.

@harryginnyalways When Meredith drowned after the ferry boat accident Derek pulled her out of the water and she had been under for quite a while. They rushed her back to the hospital and they did say that they had to get her above 80 degrees so they had a better chance at bringing her back.
