Same people that were held in Contempt Of Parliament, same people we Won a No Confidence Vote against. The same god damn people that prorogued parliament in order to avoid war crime investigations, and otherwise manipulate the shit out of us, even on the west coast.
Harper had started to make me ashamed to be Canadian. Glad this anti-Prorogue movement has come along. Has reminded me how beautiful Canada can be again.
Once Harper is removed is the day I will truly beable to breath easy again, he is the most useless shit stain ive ever seen, to hell with him and the conservatives
I am very much against Mr. Harper's actions to prorogue parliament, however liberals have no right to complain about it, considering liberals have been proroguing parliament for years already.
Well you can, but than you'd be hypocrites. But since most liberals already are, I guess that's not an issue for you. I mean, it's only bad if conservatives do it, right? Maybe try to think before blathering your idiocy.
You have accused people of only being capable of insults, and then shown no greater propensity in yourself. In the same breath you call people hypocrites. If there are any more immediately demonstrable examples of a hypocrite I cannot find one on this page better than you.
These are non-partisan protests. Canadians, whatever they believe, have every right to complain no matter the circumstances. We liberals invite you to do the same if you really don't support Mr. Harper's decision.
If all of these people are Liberal and NDP cronies, the CPC should be sh*tting their pants. I'd like to see any time the CPC got more than 20,000 people in the street for ANYTHING.
Mr Harper stop trying hide things by Proroguing the government, this will not help you Mr Harper, your days in Parliament are limited ! All you really are doing is protecting your Province Mr harper does not care about the rest of the Country.
its why. its perfectly normal to end parliament after the legislative agenda has finished that's what this procedure was designed for.
Never in the history of Canada has it been used to shut out parliament in a political move.
You can still agree or disagree with what Harper did but if you think that this is the same as how it has been used all through Canadian history you have no understanding of either politics or history
@flyingsquirrel222, no, there were no accusations against Canadian troops. Which is why it was a bit of a non sequitur having a Canadian committee discuss what Afghan's were doing in their own country to their own people.
On the one hand we're called imperialists for being there and on the other we're criticized for not running Afghanistan's jails and meddling in their affairs, you can't have it both ways.
You Tory staffers can minimize this as much as you want, but the scale and size of what happened on January 23rd is significant, as is the 10-15% drop in the polls for Mr. Harper. Canadians won't let democracy be destroyed that easily. Many new Canadians have escaped tyranny and dictatorship so they understand what Harper is really trying to do in Canada.
@Coolins335 and proffesionally printed signs automaticly means they were payed for with taxpayer dollars.... NDP don't have enough money for signs right? I mean... They must cost at least 50 cents a piece?
It's not about partisan hackery - it's about the fact that our Prime Minister shouldn't be able to shut down Parliament whenever he pleases. I would have been at this protest if the Prime Minister was from any of the parties.
Lol. I don't know exactly but I remember one guy saying he hopes a lot of ppl will come out. Then on the other side there are people like maybe Bill Carroll says nobody will show up. I'm not sure cuz I never listen to him.
I've been around a while and I can't remember when the Canadian people last rose up en mass to protest a decision by a Prime Minister. Listen to the Canadian people Steven Harper! You work for us and we will fire you!!!
Well if Garry has a pro-progroration rally then I might just have to start an anti-pro-progroration rally. Damn...I forgot which side I was on again...
