@baconator57 I have no idea, been plugging away at this project for years now... That was last summer. put it to bed for the winter and been working on it again this year, new start clutches, some more wiring for safety features - another few weeks and should be going for some proper power runs :-)
TV94/T18 hybrids.. FYI had to upgrade the clutches as not man enough to get her idling, nearly there though, beginning to make lots of noise and fire :-)
I can imagine that these tiny RC car clutches can´t transmit the torque..
Do you made plans of the combustion chamber ? What about driving something with the axles of the turbos ? You could drive two dynamos and produce some electricity XD !!
The RC Clutches can handle a lot of torque, the three shoe type will handle up to 3HP. I've got a 12" power turbine lined up which this engine is gonna run - abour 350HP @420Lbft torque when it's built :-) those are the numbers, we'll see how they pan out.
Well for their size 3 HP is a lot indeed (it was actually clear for they need to transmit the Force of those small RC car engines which have already up to 3.9 hp !!
But 350 HP @ 420 Lbft on a free drive power turbine, well that makes me smile ;o) ! When producing electricity with it, that thing would make a nice generator for remote applications ;o) !!
I'll post a proper test firing video maybe next week, new starter clutches and main burner fuel nozzle needed first (12GPH nozzle needs to be upgraded to 40GPH) flow calculations require 48GPH flow at full power, the test nozzle gets her just under idle before the air flow exceeds the fuel flow and she blows out like a candle... :-)
Wow. I am just absolutely stunned at how professional this all looks, especially the control box. Great job! Do you have plans to put this onto a vehicle?
you need to goto the moon!

Wow!
How much thrust do you think it will produce?

What size are the wheels in those turbos?
I'm thinking about similar starter motor setups for my jet
