  • TY VERY MUCH for posting this video.. was a great joy after thinking that this is all fake.. to find out it works so well o.o tho i did not use wire i used a straw cut in half so its like a u shape and balanced it with a round smaller piece of drinking straw which i taped to the tip my room is small and wall comes fast but it glides so well on its own and ofc i tried with my hands right away and its amazing how well it works... WALL!! so once again ty from Estonia !

  • @siiil21 It is really the ultimate compliment when people think it's fake at first. I am now using very thin cut foam instead of paper. They are much slower than Tyler's gliders and usually have to be flown inside.

  • Where can i get templates to please

  • @toader1471 see links in the text box--can't link in these commernts

    Slater

  • where can you buy the foam?

  • @suinkimster There are links in the text part. One link is to Windrider ready-made foam gliders identical to those Tyler is flying. There is also Phil Rossoni's Instructables link for building from scratch. That foam comes from building supply places. The foam usually goes under siding. Finally, Mike Thompson makes super thin, hot wire cut foam jagwings that fly very slowly. I hope he puts out some instructions soon.

  • is the glider in this video made from paper? or like foam or something? i wana make that one :(

  • @madnesscombat5 This one is made from foam and can be bought. They can also be made DIY out of either foam or paper. See the links in the information text (you might have to click the arrow to see the whole block of text).

    Slater

  • looks great but can you get the plan for this ,,as i want one

  • @spektrum33 Look at the text near the viewer. For me it appears below the viewer, and I have to click on the arrow to see the whole block of text. It has links to Phil Rossoni's plans, and where to buy the Windrider.

  • you can make this out of phonebook paper, split carbon fiber rods super glue and paper glue stick,

i've built 2, one 14cm wingspan and one 18cm. they fly incredibly well.

  • @tazeus Sounds interesting. Can you post a video response?

    Slater

  • How i can make it by my self.

I've try it with just some writing paper but it fails. i cant find the right model that fly's good+ the right paper. So can you give me tips. What for paper i must use and what for kind of model flights best... thnx

  • I'm working on the instructions for a paper version, hope to be done soon. If you subscribe you'll know when I put it up. Also, if you look at the text information to the right there are links for Phil's instructions for building a foam one.

  • @kingbullit11

I've made one similar to Phil Rossoni's zeppron foam pattern out of phonebook paper and split carbon fiber rods, super glue and paper glue. 16cm wingspan. it flies very nice.

  • @kingbullit11 the alternative to foam is phonebook paper

  • Wonderful way to fly. Thanks. Dave B

  • I never seen anything like this before. Incredible I will have to show my son this! So simple idea and looks like alot of fun. Thanks for posting!

  • Check out the video responses, too. Several people throughout the world are making exciting innovations to this field. At sciencetoymaker there will be complete directions for making a paper version that you can fly with just your hands.

  • ...ah!..."foreheads 'N soarheads!"

  • how to make it

  • Hey When your instructional videos are coming.please tell me when its is completed.I am waiting for it please try to make it fast.

    Thank You!

  • The best way to know when the instructions come out is to subscribe. Then you should be informed as new projects are added. Right now my students are building the walkalong gliders. I am seeing where they have trouble and adjusting the instructions accordingly.

    Slater

  • Please just make a small video on how Tyler MacCready make his walkalong plane.I want exactly like that.I want fly this plane from my hands. Please do it fast.

  • Do a search on Google for Windrider Commercial Walkalong Glider and you can buy the exact same thing.

    Slater

  • That's great.

  • this is the solution to make people thinner

    good excercise and fun

    and i'm not kidding

  • yeah the faster gliders are actually good exercise to keep up with, plus theres always motivation to keep going haha..

  • can you hake a vid on how to make it

  • Yes, I'm working on an instructional video for making several kinds of walkalong gliders, but it will take a couple of months to finish.

    Slater

  • i love your vids

  • This is just amazing. I have always, ALWAYS, wanted something like the glider shown.

  • where do you get that:)

  • that is so cool

  • Yes, he was a great man.

  • I'm sad that I was born so late so as not to finish my degrees until after Paul has died. His company is very high on my list of places that I want to work and I'd love to have worked with the man. It's good to know that his children share his enthusiasm. RIP
