  • ve in New Zealand. I visited christchuch two weeks before the earthquake. I am a great fan of christchurch but...seriously. I am sick to death of hearing about christchurch this and christchurch that. They had an earthquake in China and Japan since that eartquake and i am sick f the media going on and on about it. This idea that the whole world is watching...it isn't watching. They aren't watching!!! Enough already.

  • @Chuckles123thefish fuck you chuckles if it was in your home town you would be happy that ppl are still recognising your loss, but because its not you have the audacity to tell us to get over it? who the fuck are you anyway? some fuckin peasant that thinks its only important when it happens to you. 78,000 ppl from all over the world felt that this video was worth paying attention to, and you say the world isnt watching? grow up!

  • very nice I don't know what to say

  • Jesus look at CTV burning :(

  • our beatiful city christchurch so sad 2 c it like this

  • My favourite pic from this disaster is on the Press website, its of a sign in one of the hard hit eastern suburbs that says "free poo buckets, stay safe" and the dozen or so resene buckets beneath it.

People really are looking out for each other

  • That's my work at 3:58 , very damaged from September 4th, we'd just been told 2 weeks ago that it would be completely repaired by May and we'd be able to return to working there. Now it's on a severe lean and is threatening to collapse. So sad, we'd been waiting 6 months working at another salon temporarily, now who knows how long we'll wait.

  • hey i live in auckland and when i heard about the earthquake, i cried, for those who where missing, the ones that were killed and the moment of when everyone was pulling together to help each other in need. please be safe chc, you will be in your thoughts.! xoxo

  • this looks like a war zone why they dont show this on the news?

  • I'm from New Orleans. I hope you all don't have to wait as long as we did for support. What a mess! I send all of you my thoughts and prayers. It will get worse before it gets better...but keep in mind that it will get better.

  • terrible............... what can human do against these nature disasters , pray to God and rest in peace to those who lost their lifes

  • Wow..... I wanted to see some non-media footage and this was my first pick. Really shows how ruined Christchurch is......... Thrown straight into a movie. Have donated and will wait to see what else I can do... Will come down to do what I can too, but waiting cos lotsa people jumping to help now, running on adrenalin etc but yeah, they'll be needing help for MONTHS to come.... What can you say really? This is tragic. Thanks for the footage Biggles - Glad you're physically ok. Strength&Love xo

  • man, this sickens me to the core! I was born in Christchurch and lived there for 19 years, it breaks my heart to see my beloved home city in ruins like this. My love goes out to all my Cantabrian brothers and sisters at this awful time of grief and hardship.

Stay strong, unite and rebuild. R.I.P those who perished in this

  • The people of New Zealand will get through this, they are a tough bunch. Thoughts & prayers from Australia.

  • wow this is terrible i hope your ok :)

  • Our thoughts are with the good people in Christchurch. And many thanks to our mates from America, Britain, Australia, and elsewhere for sending help. Good on you guys!

  • Good luck to those in Christchurch!i wish you all well! xx i hope this doesn't happen to where i live in Auckland D:

  • shit

  • it's like the movie district 9

  • Ex kiwi, SoCal USA.. First, thanks for the utube upload. No words to compare what the video captures. Heart goes out to Christchurch. CC was a beautiful city. That's some serious forces of earth quake magnitude. Blessings to your city and her people.

  • It's devastating to watch, i was in school when it hit and it was so much worse than the September quake. 75 people dead, more to come. Over 200 missing. We were just starting to get back on our feet and once again we've been bought to our knees. Although I am glad that none of the dead are my family/ friends my heart goes out to all the people who did know them, ma they rest in peace <3

  • @911sheeple How about we call it Christchurch because that's what it's name is. Yes, this earthquake has affected us but we will get through this, Christchurch will survive. So uh thanks for the names, but i think we;ll stick with the one that matters most. Our name, our city, our Christchurch.

  • @Olivia2873 - So sorry to read about you going through this as I sit in AKL safe and sound. Definitely been grateful over the last few days for just how lucky I am....... It is heartbreaking to see in the footage the scaffolding on the buildings still getting repaired, and now.... yeah :'( Strength and Love to you and yours xoxox Best of luck from here on in....

  • Thanks for the footage. So many of our nice old buildings rooted - this sucks. Seriously, virtually all the heritage buildings will have to be torn down. This will be a massive blow to our tourist industry. I'm no churchie but it's a damn shame places like the Central Cathedral, the Catholic Cathedral, the nunnery, Knox Church, etc are destroyed. The Catholic Cathedral in particular was stunning (it's the one in the video with the copper domes). The Arts Centre is probably a loss too.

  • no more damage(TT) . hope Christchuch will recover with KIWI spirit !

  • Our prayers go out to you, God bless you

  • It's so sad that a lot of your beautiful old buildings are now rubble. My heart goes out to you guys.

  • so sad:(

  • wake up church from your slumber state

  • We really have no need for corrupt news anymore!

  • na guera é bem pior

  • But to meet the 2012 will not be so bad.

  • Our thoughts and prayers go out to yous all at this dark time. I used to live there now in Auckland this is so terrible .Thanks for posting . God bless

  • What did New Zealand do to earn this? Everyone loves them

  • @xZchS cheers bud. poor christchurch absolutely heartbroken

  • @xZchS Seriously. Haiti is a voodoo crazy fucking shithole but New Zealand is fucking beautiful and full of some of the greatest people in the world.

  • @xZchS I doubt New Zealand DID anything. As far as I know, earthquakes just happen, regardless of whether people 'like' the city they happen in...

  • @xZchS It's called chance. Natural disasters don't happen for a reason, they are random. Also there is no god.

  • @xZchS God doesn't. X^D I just had to do it hahahaha

  • ((

  • Just devastating to see the town once I called home and the people suffering from yet another earthquake. My prayers are with you all. So sad to see the Basilica ..... breaks my heart.

  • This is so bad. It goes to show how, as a race, we really do pull together at times like this. Well done on organisisng that concert stroberocker. Well done the rescue services out there, looks like they're doing all they can. Love from the UK.

  • What happens to the graveyards?! =(

  • this is out of it as i was just down in chch and it was perfectly normal, now look at it!

  • Good job buddy

  • Thanks for posting - and all the best from Europe!

  • wow man i hope you are alright im in rotorua man hope you are al strong me and my friends are doing a concert in rotorua to send funds down as much as we can

  • @stroberocker Good on Yah!

  • @stroberocker Where you guys doing the concert? I'll be more than happy to help out and stuff as I live in Rotorua.

  • @stroberocker Im in tauranga...what are the details?

  • @stroberocker thanks so much dude! can certainly hook up your donations with a worthy fund if you're keen. hit me up andy@equipbiz.co.nz

  • @theboybiggles What exactly would sending you money do to help Christchurch?

  • @lilruc I don't know - did I ask anyone to send me money?

  • @theboybiggles Sorry, I assumed the worst in you. One of my shortcomings :\

  • @lilruc Donate it to the Red Cross or an organisation like that, they're in there helping everyone.

  • @lilruc To buy food and provide vital support services for the thousands currently hauled up at shelters throughout the city. Help them get back on their feet. The city is decimated bro.

    redcross.org.nz for donations please.

  • @lilruc Help rebuild the city, AMI insurance is getting a bail out because they can't handle how much damage it has caused to homes and possesions. Donations will sure help them.

  • @Ministock85h Holy crap, that was a month ago.

  • @lilruc Good point captain obvious. But seriously, send money down there.

  • @Ministock85h Read my response, I understand why. I pointed out the fact that it is a month old because I was curious why it brought back up. Leave it the fuck be, I've already sent money after "theboybiggles" said he didn't ask for any.

I never said "what would sending money to THEM do". Youtube is full of idiots nowadays -____-
