  • Marty Feldman a comic genius, what a shame he died so young.

  • BOOBS

  • that was a great movie! I remember seeing that with my dad in the drive-in when I was a kid.

  • The title ought to say something about the first part of the vid ("Young Frankenstein outtakes & CINEMATOGRAPHY")

  • Delightful. Thanks for posting.

  • Great stuff! Thanks for uploading!

  • What knockers!

  • "Damn your eyes!" "Too late..."

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning?

  • @chubbysenator transylvania lullaby.

  • 4:11 HAHAHAHA

  • The narrator is Batman!

    WHAT

  • @spuhzoo

I know em better as Spiderman...or Luis Sera...or James Rutland...

  • 4:38 kills me everytime...

  • Jews luv the German, who they kiddin.

  • Gene wilder is absolutely hilarious.. Love that guy

  • I remember when this movie first came out, there was a lot of trepidation on the part of both the critics and the public, about such a broad spoof of the Frankenstein movies, and that it was in B/W. It was roundly dismissed by reviewers at its initial opening.

  • Mel Brooks is a god.

  • ITS SAFE TO SAY THEY DONT MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO. I DONT KNOW WHY.

  • Gene wilder is one of the funniest and talented actors ever and is still alive.

  • LMAO

  • What Knockers!

  • the old hermit scene was one of the funniest scenes in the movie, the other one would have to be when he was bangin on the door trying to get out and he says "open the door or I'll kick your rotten teeth in, mommy!"

  • Gene is so freakin adorable here. this was fantastic. lmao xD hahaha

  • i know that the professor and the hentch man is dead who else is dead??

  • @ddfrde Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle are all passed on, I don't know who else though.

  • @adamdicy Madeline Kahn has to be one of the naturally funniest women actors EVER! i mean u knew she was gonna be goofy no matter what! Carol Burnett is a close second! she reeked of funny! ever since she did a short spoof of sound of music with Julie Andrews in like 61 or something! u can find the video on here i think! its so funny!

  • @ddfrde The Professor? Gene Wilder? Hes not dead!!!

  • THANKS FOR POSTING. THAT WAS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE.

  • 5:48 he looks like the retarded laughing hiena from the lion king

  • Gene Wilder is the loveliest man on the face of the Earth.

  • I love Gene Wilder.... if i could marry any man it would be Wilder in 1971 what a stud and what a crackup

  • Even though I have it on dvd, I still watch it when ever it's on t.v.

  • My gawd, but Terri Garr was HOT!

  • @wilmanric1 - One of my first crushes was for Garr.

  • @wilmanric1 Terri Garr was 24 at the time. AND SHE WAS DAMN HOTT. RH DSD

  • 18 people are out of their fucking minds!

  • Up until this film I was not a big Gene Wilder film, after I realized how funny he could be. Plus the film is a true one of a kind!

  • loool

Gene Wilder has such a cute giggle.

    <3

  • One of the few perfect movies. An homage, that stands on it's own.

  • RIP Feldman, Boyle and Kahn, you're missed

  • This is great! Thanks for posting!

  • Didn't know that Gene Wilder wrote the screenplay. This is my and my brother's favorite all time movie. We recite the lines all the time!!

  • @TheDaisy2025 My FAVE Mel Brooks movie...and I recite the lines all the time...too! SEDAGIVE?? ROFL!

  • So Feldman ad-libbed the Groucho-esque "turban" and Brooks wanted to kill it, but he used the line anyway. Like the "funny" scene from Goodfellas.

  • the greatest thing about that scene where he bites the fur neck piece is that a small smile from gene wilder actually made its way into the movie... seriousy watch it!

  • Absolutely hilarious movie...

  • Marty Felman was a right nutter lol

  • @ bscottb8: Brooks actually gave Wilder first billing on the screenplay, and this documentary probably is looking at Brooks as a director, not a writer.

  • Simply the best movie of all time!! it's perfect in everything right down to the smallest detail. Classic once-in-a-lifetime movie

  • marty feldman sounds like a little dog pulling at your pants, just that growlin and snarlin. i can't stop laughin.

  • Some movies are timeless. This is one of them.

  • Of course Marty Feldman would turn a movie into an improv but God you can't help but love him!

  • For me, this is the funniest movie I've ever seen. It was when I first saw it back in 1974 and it still is today. Just watching these clips, I laugh so hard the tears run.

  • OMG. Just crazy.

  • "what Knockers" "Oh Thank you doctor" lol

  • @elvis3700 Oh yeah, Teri Garr had a nice set and a nice face to go along. I always got a hard on every time I saw her and still do 36 years later. I always wanted to bang her. Even at 65 and battling MS, she still ain't bad. Beautiful, talented(underrated) and a tough woman.

  • Hahahahaha, this is great!

  • I mention Frankenstein in The Celebrity Song.

  • love love love this movie.... wilder, feldman, fucking cloris leachman! and fuckin peter boyle hhahahahaha oh and gene hackman too!!! espressoooooo!

  • @FrankDeth

    and of course madeline khan

  • I love this movie! I got some pictures Mel Brooks at his star ceremony yesterday and a video clip of Mel singing. Check my page for the video and link to my blog for pictures. It was so much fun.

  • I hope it was fake fur!

  • Go Marty Feldman! I also liked the Prussian cop with the gimp arm. Then there was the dart scene, when the dart went out the window, and a cat yowled. That was when Brooks added that sound, I understand that it was Brooks who made the sound, unplanned. All in all one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • @soco13466 Kenneth Mars

  • Marty Feldman in this movie was the greatest supporting actor role ever!

  • Hey laughter is serious business it just can't be taken seriously:)

  • when did this air and can u buy in on dvd... The AMC featurret that is on now?

  • omfg brooks looks so young...

  • It's funny to see very old bloopers =P

  • AAAAHHHHIIIiii aint got nobody and nobody cares for a me yakitaka katika yakita ka!!! HA!!! love it

  • luckily, i was blessed with family with a wide variety of taste. We watch this every halloween, and usually when it comes on tv.

  • The fur! The fur!

  • O Gene, what a guy, what a guy! I'm surprised I didn't fall off my chair laughing. He doesn't even have to say anything!

  • Frau Blucher... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

  • What I love about the movie, Young Frankenstein, typical of Mel Brooks films, just when you think you've seen all and heard every line, there's another you've somehow missed. New reasons to laugh every time, regardless of how many times watched.

  • This movie is still do funny, I saw it very late in my life.

  • Teri Garr is so beautiful -- first time I laid eyes on her in 1975. Love her so!

  • thanks for this!

  • Marty Feldman was the top cream for this movie!

  • love how the cast couldnt keep it together at the end. seemed like gene messed up the most takes

  • Too bad they couldn't use any of the Feldman takes with the fur hanging from his mouth. That would have made the whole scene even funnier.

  • they do!

  • see outtakes 2

  • @comradevodka Oh my God, when Feldman just fell down on the floor at 6:32 after one of those mess-ups I died of laughter, LOL!

  • @comradevodka That was the problem.... How can anyone human not laugh at that?

  • EYE-gor!

    Froderick!

  • As talented as Mel Brooks is, he tends to be a credit hog. It should be remembered that Gene Wilder wrote the original screenplay.

  • @bscottb8 You're totally right, because I didn't even know that!

  • @bscottb8 Really?

  • @bscottb8 Mel was busy getting over a death in the family to write this one...

  • @bscottb8 The screenplay was co-written by Brooks and Wilder, it was not Wilder solo.

  • @BearODice And based on a 200-year-old novel by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley.

  • @bscottb8 Holy shit....no way!!! I had nooooo idea....is that why gene wilder is in like a hell of whole lot of Mel Brooks movies????

  • @bscottb8 interesting :) just learned something :)

  • mel brooks is a genius¡¡¡¡¡

  • probably the funniest film ever

  • thank god for Mel Brooks

  • 5:42 - 5:52 funniest 10 secends of outtake footage I've ever seen. They couldn't use any takes with the fur in his mouth cause it was basically TOO funny for the cast! Feldman was over the top! A lovable nut. And also Kahn looks surprisingly beautiful in these shots.

  • One of the top five comedies of all time!

  • Now I have to watch it again

  • Funniest film ever made!

  • no WAAAAAY!!

  • A great fil.

I'm stil a little more of a Blazing Saddles fan, but this may be the better and even funnier film - need to re-watch it.

What talent! along w/ Brooks, Wilder, Boyle, Kahn, Leachman, Garr, Feldman all at the top of their game.

  • best mel brooks movie ever.

i don't think he can top it.

  • no doubt

  • I AIN"T GOT NO BODY!

  • GIVE HIM A SEDAGIVE!

  • SEDAGIVE???!???!?!

  • O.o.

hahaha... man I love this film :)

  • This movie is a classic....you can watch it over and over and never get tired of it...

  • Running the outtakes during the credits was such a fun idea back then! Do they still do it? I'd love to see the outtakes from The Reader...

  • Put the candle back

  • Thank you.

  • Funny you should ask "who would want to watch these?" right after clicking your way into something called "Young Frankenstein Outtakes 1." You amuse, as well.

  • Perhaps someone raved to me about how "funny" this movie is and how "funny" these actors are and how I had to go see the outtakes.

  • Then I apologize. Your problem is an entirely different one. Taste is subjective, of course. Nevertheless, in this particular case, you must enjoy being very much in the minority. If these were Pauly Shore outtakes, then such an opinion would be understandable. I think it's safe to say, however, that your opinion exists somewhere in the five percentile.

  • disneyjoel you are my hero. :)

  • Mel Brooks is a genius, what a great movie!!

  • lol I love that film

  • Leachman was on O'Reily last night for some reason and she revealed that "Blucher" was picked by Mel Brooks because it means "glue" in German (cue the horses freaking!)

  • Snopes says the story is incorrect and "blucher" does not mean glue. Darn. That's a funnier explanation than the real one, which is so unfunny, I forgot it.

  • Tears streaming down my eyes :-D

  • Years ago I saw some cast pictures taken on the set. Everyone looked as if they were having the time of their lives.

  • chloris leachman is ageless. she looks fantastic!

  • Thank you!

  • "sedagive???"

  • that must have been a really fun gig for all the set workers...

  • they just don't make movies like this anymore

  • I love the last outtake, when Marty Feldman bites the fur and Gene looks at him with tears in his eyes laughing his head off...

Those guys really had a good job.

  • and then Feldman slowly collapses to the ground laughing...

  • Cloris Leachman is wonderful.

Even on Malcolm in the Middle she is fantastic.

  • I have never seen a funnier movie than this!! and doubt I ever will again. This is comic genius.

  • greatest movie of all times. i really love the music in the beginning. now I want to play the violin

  • Ohmygooooddd... I LOVE Marty Feldman in this.

    He's so perfect as Igor.

    RIP Marty...

  • Marty Feldman with the fur piece is hysterical!

  • One of the funniest movies ever.

  • Is there a long version somewhere? or a "director's cut"?

  • This must have been the funniest set EVER. I read somewhere that Brooks and the crew kept shooting scenes even after the movie was done because everyone loved to be there.

  • I love this movie!!!!

  • What's the music playing the the beginning?

  • lol.... watch the movie...

  • "Not the third switch"

  • Blazing Saddles is great in its' own right, but this movie will always be Mel Brooks' best creation. Nothing made since even compares to it.

  • Wow. Big knockers! oh thanks. lol

  • This is the only library I know of Doctor FrankenSHTONE!... Franken...stein...

  • This might be the greatest Movie !! So many lines, all you do is start it and everyone else will finish it.

  • "Put. The Candle. Back." LMAO.

  • You see, this is actual satire. They actually make it in the style of the genre they're parodying and make relevant jokes based on the plot.

Exactly why I hate shit like Disaster Movie.

  • "Disaster Movie" doesn't even deserve to be said in the same breath as "Young Frankenstein".

  • Well said!

  • Thanks for sharing this it's great!

  • o my goodness.

    i love the end! :D

this was such a funny movie.

its one of my favorites :)

  • Best movie of all time! I love it.
