Wow this was sad! When I saw the reporter herself losing it I lost it just see her crying over it! Human tragedies like this reminds us all how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away from us. I hope Jackson finds some happiness in his life again.
am from LA.........so I know of Katrina........Hardy was in Mississippi........not enough gets said about Mississippi's heartaches of the storm........luv u Hardy
His Son Name was Hardy to that was homie we chilled and played on the football team an all our first game was the day katrina hit man glad i got to catch up with my homie last time i taslked was bout 3 weeks ago
this is the only story that has stuck out in my mind from seeing it on the news, not a documentary or anything. i couldn't believe what i was hearing. i always wanted to see this again after the news died down, but apparently i had his first name wrong. i'm so glad to hear that he's ok now. thanks for posting this
I live in the Pensacola / Mobile area and when this story first aired it was so sad. Last I heard Mr. Jackson was living with some relatives in Atlanta and he and the kids were doing well. I don't know if he has (or had) any plans to return to the Gulf Coast. BTW, that reporter is Jennifer Maralee (sp?). I think she is also in Atlanta working for a station up there.
When i seen this video i cried i hope him and his two sons are doing well, My Name is David Cole and me and my family wanna say Hardy we love you take care and one day i hope i am able to meet him i have alot of things i wanna give him stuff that may help him and his family out through this horrible tragedy.
My local radio station in NC (107.5 WKZL) got in touch with Hardy Jackson. He and his family have been living in Georgia. They still havn't had a memorial service for this man and his family. The radio station is paying for them to fly back down to do a memorial service. Mail cards to: Hardy Jackson, 7205 Little Fawn Pkwy, Palmetto, GA 30268-1806
awful. I had chills the first time I saw this. I hope this man is doing much better, now that it's been 2 years to do the day since Katrina made landfall.

@BobKingsley It's a little too late for Hardy Jackson to be blessed by an invisible monster who allowed it to happen in the first place.
