When you play heavy shit you want to have a clearer sound...So a pick is somtimes a good thing cuz it brings out a sharper bass sound...

To tell you the truth I don't have that bass anymore and I haven't played since like a long time ago, also I've been so busy with my new job I don't think I have the tabs anymore. But I'll check my old ccomputer for the power tab file.

Yeah, Picking isn't that hard, you just have to practice it, plus I find it easier to use the side of the pick (the rouded side) instead of the point

I had a guitar with bad grounding, It's good to get that fixed up, I just did it myself because I work with alot of electronics as well

cool. mine is an active bass so it was some screwy wiring with the wires touching some foam or some weird thing like that. i couldnt really see too much between the dudes fixin it and im only really 13(youtube account stats are lying they say im 17) so i had noooo ideaa watsoever wat they were talkin about.

you should practice finger picking on a guitar for a few weeks before going to bass. even if it doesn't sound very good just go for it. lock all your picks in a box and forget about them until you can finger pick well.

I can finger pick fine on guitar, guitar I have no problem, But I can't do it on bass for some reason.  I'm classically trained in guitar so I don't have a problem with finger picking

bass obviously is a lot harder. the strings are much much deeper and heavier. keep practicing and youll get it soon. good luck!

sounds to me like you need to change your strings, do you detune to low tunings a lot?

Well It's not really my bass but It does get detuned alot. Why does it affect your strings?

well when they get detuned a lot they loose a lot of tone and sound very bassy. I guess it depends on what style you play.

I personally think it sounds better with a pick (when not using a distortion pedal) cause it gives it a heavier sound. But I started learning bass a year ago and can't use a pick that well (can only fluently do the ol' finger-picking).

Well I'm not much of a bass player...Mostly guitar and I play more rock guitar than classical so I would need to teach myself how to finger pick that fast on bass, and I'm too lazy to do that
