  • The camera was not shot with the PMW-EX1. (Shoots 1920x1080) It was shot with the little small one that only shoots 702x480. I rendered it the best I could from the raw footage. Edited in Sony Vegas PRO 8.0

  • Why is it in 480p, the camera looks expensive

  • THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE IT.

  • I want to buy this mount also, but i was worried it would have problems with my cameras weight. But after seeing the camera you mount on it, i guess my camera is a piece of cake :) It's a 550d with some extra accesoires with a total weight of 1.7kg.....

  • IS this thing reliable, i want to buy one to stick it on a wall and record tutorials, i want it facing my drawing table so it´s got to be completely against gravity. Does any one recomends it, is there any prefered surface for the dual suckers? I live in Santo Domingo, here the walls are cement covered and painted with semi gloss. i appreciate any response.

  • has it ever failed?

  • @pHaTdProductions I tried to respond VIA my phone. I suppose it did not post. The unit has never failed. I also use it on my motorcycle witch is a duel sport. I suggest you use a lanyard so you will not loose your equipment.

  • Has this piece of kit proved worthwhile in the longrun?

  • @QBromley For the most part this unit has been great. I have used it in many different applications and it has never failed. In some cases its to large to fit in some tight spots.

  • Thats awesome! When you shoot your video send me the link. I would like to see it.

  • Nice video, super song, will wait for your release of it's name )) just orderes the same device, will make shots with flip HD.

  • I want this product but I'm scared it will fail. Do you recommend it?

  • the name of the song is Gabriel & Dresden - Perfect lie

  • @Neosph3re Thanks alot !!! I even have had emails about the song. I will pass it along.

  • @grbroussard no problem, it's nice being helpfull

  • You said that you didn't use your pmw-ex1 on the Fat Gecko but do you think it is possible with the FG? How does it feel if the camera is on the FG?

Is it wonky or is it very sturdy?

  • @xvst I would be affraid to mount the EX1,EX3 or any other high dollar camera on it. Just because of the weight of the units. The FG should hold up but I would not do it without a saftey on the camera.

  • Thank you for your reply.

I want to give the FG to my girlfriend as a birthday gift. She just bought a Canon 5d2 so i thought this would be a great gift! But maybe it's to unsafe. But i think for the affordable solutions out there i thought this would be a good one. Many of the ohter brands have just one suction cup. And i get a unsafe feeling...

With the FG if one cup lets loose the other cup will be there to secure the camera and prevent it off falling to the ground.

  • what is the song ?

  • Not sure. I got the song from a shoot I did a long time ago at a dance school. I will try and find out and send you a message of the title.

  • @NVRENUFWRX

This song sounds like a remix of the intro song from nip/tuck. A Perfect Lie -The Engine Room

  • Really usefull.

    Thanks for posting it!

  • I have not tested it at that speed. I think you can drive 112 mph befor you loose it.

  • it was test on a f1 car to 212mph so its good

  • LOL!!! I don't have an F1 and I can't go 212mph!!! Thanks for the comment. I do feel better knowing its not going to fall off.

  • How fast can you drive with it? Does it hold at 70mph?

  • Thanks!!! This video was shot with the Panasonic SDR-S7, a small consumer camera. I did not want to take the chance and destroy the PMW-EX1 with the Fat Gecko. The Gecko manufacturer says it can hold up to six pounds. Check with Fat Gecko and Sony for the specs. I would use a lanyard if you were going to use your good camera.

  • Nice video!

Is it the Sony PMW EX1 you use in this video?

Do you think i can use the Fat Gecko with my

    Sony HDR-FX1?

    Or is too heavy?

  • Comment removed

  • Very well done. Glad you didn't use the Sony. I have a Canon XLH1 and would be very afraid to use that on the external shots. I just bought a Flip, and it works great believe it or not, See for yourself, I attached a video to yours.

  • nice presentation. i just picked one up for my 5d ii. how much does your big camcorder weigh and any issues withe the product so far?

  • It holds up to 10 lbs. I've attached my 5d mk ii on it before with no problems.
