  • @kaos3124 It's the beans. >:)

  • I found a readily available mallet to use with this technique at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Search for crab mallet on their site. Dirt cheap too.

  • awesome easy but on what temperature?

  • @DarkGoth4444 : Dunno. I just cranked it. You always ruin the first couple anyway. Like pancakes, you know? Takes longer than you think for the temperature to be perfect and get into the rhythm. Fortunately, tortillas are dirt cheap, and you'll have it down by the third or fourth.

  • Dude, nice. Now that is easy!!

  • that was funny! You have made a difference... I'm not sure I want to use that much oil though. Seems like kind of a waste? Maybe because I would only cook for two adults and two small kids. Thanks!

  • @Dianasaur78 -- it does require a lot of oil, but I just buy a jug specifically for shells and when the pot cools, I pour it back in the jug and store it to use again.

  • @BobAndSharonF -- duh. Of course! Silly me... Thanks again for the tip!

  • Ingenious!! Much more easy method than the other methds.
