Right on! I like that, I usually just try and fold them in the pan, but its a big pain. I am going to weld some stainless steel together to make it look like you wood tool. Thanks for the idea.
You "american" people, think that tortillas are made fried as tacos. Tacos aren´t fried, that type of tortillas are called "flautas". You don´t know a thing about mexican food
@DarkGoth4444 : Dunno. I just cranked it. You always ruin the first couple anyway. Like pancakes, you know? Takes longer than you think for the temperature to be perfect and get into the rhythm. Fortunately, tortillas are dirt cheap, and you'll have it down by the third or fourth.
that was funny! You have made a difference... I'm not sure I want to use that much oil though. Seems like kind of a waste? Maybe because I would only cook for two adults and two small kids. Thanks!
@Dianasaur78 -- it does require a lot of oil, but I just buy a jug specifically for shells and when the pot cools, I pour it back in the jug and store it to use again.
Super cool! Super super cool! Thank you for sharing this, I even watch this several times in a row just to enjoy how wonderful you did it! :-P I am dreamming of having my Dad, my hubby or maybe my brother to make me this cool taco ...gavel! I didn't know a judge can be a good cook at home too. lol

I found a readily available mallet to use with this technique at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Search for crab mallet on their site. Dirt cheap too.
