If he was bothered about people covering his songs he wouldn't release it. I don't think there are songs by popular artists that haven't been covered at least once. It's part of showing your love for the song...

@MrNick996 Fair enough, I respect your opinion, I just think Kurt himself would think it's stupid to say nobody but him can sing them, since he hated the way people put him on a pedestal and worshipped him like he was a god of somesort (I'm a bit guilty of that myself, I think the guy was truly unique and a great talent) Plus, my band has covered this song, simply because we love it (i hate our version anyway) and..well yeah, we love it. He covered songs himself by his idols

@coheedandcambria100 I think you'll find that Butch Vig had nothing to do with the In Utero Album, the original mixes of In Utero were by Steve Albini of which only bootleg versions exist (Leaked thanks to a misprinting of the German In Utero Vinyl) it was later remixed by Steve Litt all except the song All Apologies which was the original Albini mix. Butch Vig was Nevermind, his mixes have just been remastered and released with the 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe edition of Nevermind.
