Im doing a baby girl blanket using the streamer crochet. Do you have a Facebook account where i can post the picture when I am done? -Zee. P.s. its lookiing so beautiful!
@zeldanrj3 I do have FB and Google+ where you can share pictures. I am sending out invites for Google+ to anyone who asks for one. I will need an email address so you are welcome to send to my inbox.
I just logged on and discovered your video's and now I know that I can learn to crochet. You're a very good teacher and being able to watch you step by step will make learning so much easier. I am going to start with the Puff Stitch Hat. thank you so much.
In the written instructions, you say to chain for any length desired - does it have to be an uneven number? I need it to be twelve an a half inches across.
@jsher1ock I say to just chain because the chain does not have to be an exact amount. If you do end up with a bit of extra chain, you can sew it in later, between your stitches.
Very cool. always wanted to know how to do that.... and instead of sewing in corners i would just do a border and hold the tails down.. a lil easier...
I would like to make a denser fabric with this stitch for an afghan. Would it be possible to do this with a half double crochet instead of the double crochet stitches??
QUESTION. I would like to use this pattern to make different colored squares. When you get to end of each row, what do you do instead of making a slip knot to attach a new color ?? Really enjoy the videos !!
I'm SO happy to have found your videos. After years of only knowing a basic stitch, I'm FINALLY able to branch out. I've made a baby afghan using this stitch and it came out gorgeous. But I'm wondering, could the basic idea of this stitch be used in a border to put ribbon through? I just saw some blankets that uses various borders that all had ribbon going through them and just tied in a bow at the corner. If you ever had the time, I'd love to see tutorials for that! :) Thanks for all your vids!
It's stunning!!! I love this work and your instructions are extremely precise, I found your videos looking for flowers crochet...You are a great teacher!
Finding all your instructions on U-tube feels like a gift. I have crocheted for over 40 years but there are some stitches I haven't used in a long time. You are helping to refresh my memory in a very clear way. Thank you.
Hi Theresa, I started an afghan that has the base of your dc, ch1 thrughout the whole thing. Im not happy with the next part of it which is using a slipstitch in the spaces but going up the afghan..it pulls and shortens it. Do you have any idea on what I could use for a "filler" for this base? I wished I saw this video before I started this--it is perfect but I would have to pull the whole thing apart and start over again :(
Are there any plans to make a quick video to show us what two of these would look like together? And would you recommend slip stitching them together to give a raised seam or sewing them together with a blanket, whip or other stitch?
If you are using it along with squares, I recommend sewing the squares together which eliminates a raised edge. It is all preference and how you like to put them together.
Are you keeping the tan yarn at the end of each colored row then crocheting up the side of the color when you get to the end of a colored row, or are you cutting it off each time?
I am attaching the new color to the opposite end from where I ended. I am not cutting the tan yarn. If you kept your contrasting row of single crochet all one color, you could continue each row without cutting that one too. The only reason I am cutting the color rows is because of the color changes.
awesome stitch...Good way for a person to get rid of smaller balls of yarn that otherwise would just hang around forever or get thrown out!

@01hoonette Try changing the player setting. You should see 360, 480, 720 at the bottom of the player.

JACKIE64155 1 year ago
@JACKIE64155 You can run the yarn up the side but it will be visible. You will need to do an edging to cover the edges.
tjw1963 1 year ago
Hmm, this gives some nice ideas~ Think it'll work with half double stitches? :)

When watching the video you stated the foundation chain has to be an odd number for it to work, does it matter when you are making a afghan?

If I wanted to make a scarf, could I just continue going on and on or is it better to just make squares and then joining them?
I love the colour combination, so pretty.
Thank you Teresa for all your ideas and ALL you tutorials. You are a fantastic teacher.

If you wanted to make a afghan how many stitchs do you need for this pattern
baby26girl 2 years ago
It would depend on what size you want your afghan, yarn and hook. I can estimate a chain of 200 to start.

This is pretty! Colors are matching one another gorgeoulsy. I wish i could do this for my first project.

This would make a cool scarf. So if I wanted a scarf like this would i just continue the rows or do a bunch of squares and connect them?
ddrmaster07 2 years ago
Yes, I actually have a square posted that may be a good size for a scarf. I will send you the link.

I am attaching the new color to the opposite end from where I ended. I am not cutting the tan yarn. If you kept your contrasting row of single crochet all one color, you could continue each row without cutting that one too. The only reason I am cutting the color rows is because of the color changes.
