I dunno, holding up a properly carbon dated artifact that proves Jesus even existed (there's two paragraphs in history written by Josephus, and that's it- and since you're catholic, you can't use that, because it clearly states that Jesus had brothers and sisters, which is a blaspheme to your religion), that gives him fodder to continue the show Bullshit. Actually, the Pope doesn't comment on much unless he thinks it's an issue that deserves an encyclical or something else really important. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has a lot of stuff on their website that states the Church's views, and you'd probably be more likely to get a response from a clergyman on the level of a Bishop or even a Cardinal than the Pope.

And Penn is right in how the Pope doesn't conduct a very...outgoing public life.
