rtmpdump -r rtmp://blablaba.mp3 -o "title.mp3" it downloaded it as a MP3 file but the result was quite awful to listen, heavily distorted. I had to change title.mp3 into .flv in the batch file to get something that could be listened (side note, the MP3 file was like 500k bigger than the FLV file). So I don't get why it is required to download it as a FLV since the hosted file is not a FLV but MP3... That puzzles me.

@maxulic I also experienced stutter / skipping when saving a MP3 file from a RTMP stream as MP3. That's because the MP3 file is actually contained within a FLV container, hence you need to save it as a FLV file. You can then use an additional tool such as "FLV Extract" to unpack the MP3 file from the container.

What I don't get is that you can easily find the MP3 link by checking the .ashx file in your internet cache, so basically it allows to skip Step 1. When I read that Step 2 was downloading the file as a FLV that then needed to be converted to MP3 (it's already a low quality file, save alone converted twice), I was like meh? We're using a link to a MP3 file, what's the point of downloading it as a MP3? So I made my own batch file using this line:

myspace doesnt stream the hi quality 128kbs on RTMP unlike before where you just replace the std_ prefix to full_ eg std_8e590efcadaa4cba8b54a570e7­65da8d.mp3 to full_8e590efcadaa4cba8b54a570e­765da8d.mp3

@ those who did not get it yet: it is a must that the one which is downloaded from mp3dumper mus be in the same folder as convert, mpeg and dump... after processing click the convert... then thats it!
