well all i have to say am a lead singer in a band that been all over the U S and there is not a thing wrong with drinking water in a gig of 100 or 100,000 people i love this guy 100%
I went and saw Frankie Valli and the four seasons in concert a few years ago or so and though I think he did a great job at his age, cuz he can still really belt them out, he did have a back-up singer helping him with the vocals especially on the high notes. But all in all it was a terrific concert well worth the money to see him perform.
love frankie can still do it (with or without) water and another great one is dion he also may have water but hey ho i am not here to watch there drinking habits good post + cheers

The fact remains true...many a vocalist lost most of their gums long before they hit 70...Frankie seems to have held out longer than most with near his whole vocal range intact...very few performers who sing as much falsetto can lay claim to have done so...Roy Orbison comes to mind...no one else...these guys are classic legends of the music industry!
He came to perform at North Central College where I work, this past October. No clue he was that old. I was really impressed he was able to belt out the high notes.
A drink of water ? Please. How could anyone say anything about something so normal. Go to his web sight and just look at the schedule he maintains. A man half his age would have a hard time. Saw him this week at 76 years old. Hope I'm in good a shape when I'm 60 !
I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons last fall and it was the best concert I had ever seen, and I was in nosebleed seats. Can't wait to see him July 31 in Primm, Nevada again, and I have better seats. Saw the Jersey Boys in Chicago a couple of years ago, but nothing like Frankie Valli himself.
I like the animation by the bass player and guitar player in this video. They seem to be into it. The last bass player I got to work with stood like a statue!!!
Wow, Great song, but the delivery!! questionable.......Did you see Frankie having a drink of water mid song.....while the dancers were holding the show!! - Not being mean.......I love him...I do....but not a great clip.............
haha, you have got to be kidding me right? the man is human, what's wrong with having a drink of water? people get thirsty. pretty sure you're joking me, but if now, you're an idiot. thanks for watching my video, lol
Snowbunybabe...Chillout!! Relax.. I watched it a 2nd time!...And I have the same thoughts.. When people post videos on youtube, its usually because they want feedback. Your comment "I felt like a kid at a geriatric show!!! That I agree with. Thanks for posting the clip :)
@snowbunybabe there's no way he's joking! it's his laxidazy attitude, he strolls over and gets his water. also, let's be realistic a bit. frankie always had 3 backups. if dude is too old, hes too old. have some dignity
@Donimusic seriously don, at what age is in inappropriate to grab a glass of water when you are thirsty? i've been to hundreds of concerts in my life and they all take a sip of water at one point or another. it's a human need, especially when using your voice like that for over an hour. i can not believe we are even having this discussion. i would be happy to listen to this man until he's 100+. have a little respect for your elders. he sounded great!
@snowbunybabe artist when they get old become lazy and very cabaret , they seem to forget the original version what made everybody love the song to start with !! a classic example is eric burdan , the house of the rising sun . exellent original , but totaly butchered pensioner version !!!!!!!!!!
@snowbunybabe@Donimusic@lushmud im with snow on this one. theres nothing that says Frankie Valli cannot get a drink of water in the middle of a song. the man was 72 years old of course he needs water. its his passion to sing and he will do it till the day he dies but tht doesn't mean he cant drink water during a concert.
@snowbunybabe Nothing wrong with needing a drink of water... but - there is a thing called "showmanship". If you're not performing out front, you should be invisible (non-distracting) from the what is out front. Before I would fault Frankie, however, I would fault the lighting crew. It took them too long to turn the lights down.. putting the spotlight on the dancers (where the attention belonged at that point in the song) and hiding FV in the shadows with his water bottle.
@lushmud at the end of the day the supporting cast are kareoke singers and Frankie is the real deal; a living legend having ave a drink of water is fine with me.
It was part of the show for him to stand off to the side and let them do their little dancing number for that minute and a half (or less). There was no singing during that time, only dancing!! Too bad the camera guy focused on him when he needed to be focusing center stage. OMG that seriously ruined it for you??
This is one of the things that they are famous for, you doof. The older people like it and if you don't like this then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND LISTEN TO THE SONG. This site is about VIDEOS and that is what this is. Take a chill pill and just enjoy the music.

Yeah, I know what you mean snowbuny. I have a feeling I'm not going to like "the real Frankie" as much as I loved Jersey Boys either. I think it will just be very cool to look up on that stage and know that this is the real deal, ya know? :)
I'm seeing Frankie Valli in San Diego on July 25th. After watching this, I'm excited about the show! I've seen Jersey Boys 4 times, so I figured I'd like to see "the real thing!" :)
