Yeah the only downside of coding in C++ vs Java is you can't embed the C++ version so it makes it hard to play at say school. But yeah C++ is quicker.

@lotlat I have an average 70 fps and an i7 920 and it still stutters. It''s been bearable once I was able to give it more ram, but it still needs to be rewritten. The main reason smp is fucked up beyond belief with bugs is because of it's sloppy coding. Good day sir.

@SoonToBeAwesome theres a mod called millenaire which has randomly generated towns with npcs in them. you can buy stuff from them in return for their currency. the more resources that are given to the town, the more advanced their cities become. there's also the minecolony mod where you can make npcs that mine for you.
