It's bracket racing fools. The corvette won with a 13.64 sec to his dialed in time of 13.62. He was only 0.02 sec off his time which is damn good. 13.62 sec and he would have been golden...right on the mark. The BMW came in last. You want to go closest or nail the dial in time without beating it.

In this race, the BMW driver actually reacted TOO quickly. If you look closely at the "Christmas tree", you can see that he red-lighted (jumped the gun). (No doubt he was distracted by the car in the right lane taking off first.)
