Picking up your pivot before the ball leaves your hand to dribble is a travel. Pause it at the beginning of the 7 second mark. Ball is still in his hand, left foot(pivot) is off the ground. Travel.

Average players only get called for travelling sometimes, star players never get called. That said, being a star player has a lot to do with being able to get by defenders, and it's harder to defend someone if they're taking that extra push-step with their pivot foot.
