  • fater than my piease off shiet volvo 850

  • you can put a turbo on a 2 stroke, but you need to reverse theopening and closing off the exhaust port and the receiver, so you need valves, like evinrude uses for instance, but then the engine will become expensive, also, the greasing had to be done like a 4 stroker. But this was supposed to be affordable and reliable, and easy maintainable.

  • @schillie7 Why do u need valves and greasing have nothing to do with a turbo u get a oil pump 4 the turbo and a catch tank! Search two stroke turbo snowmobile on youtube.. its a common ting.

  • it actually has a bit of go to it lol

  • @yumcha16 It's pretty fast considering what motoring era it's from.

  • So cool. I love it.

  • I belive its possible to turbocharge a twostroke, in that case I think you got to put the turbo right after the tuned pipe, but there will be a problem with the lubrication.

This car has V4 std final gear 8:39 wich gives 27,7kmh/1000rpm

  • @aerostiv Supercharging a two-stroke is not uncommon turbo is not so common

  • @MatsNorway Well we turbo charing two strokes is most common, Lokk att the snowmobiles after market turbo kits.

  • what is tuned??

  • that sounds so sexy

  • LOL the engine sings...

  • ha YEAH! saab 2 stokes are the best, to bad those older ones wernt turbocharged like the newer one's :)

  • @Carfreak1177 It is very hard to charge a two-stroke engine. To make it efficient you need very special exhaust pipes and you can optimize it only on a small range of RPM and load. So turbocharged two-strokes can only be found in some ships.

  • @aviatorsbh That and big commercial vehicles. Those engines you're thinking of are detroit 2 stroke diesels, and can be found on anything from a generator to larger boats like you said. They all come supercharged, which would actually be considered N/A, and had turbo options(making them twin charged). These engines were actually better than 4 stroke diesel engines because they actually had a much broader powerband, making it better on low and high end. The old 2 stroke detroits were the shit

  • @Beldar4214 The reason for supercharging large ships 2-stroke engines is to improve breathing, and by that the efficiency and power. It is hard to get this enormous engine to pump out all old and contaminated fumes.

A totally different way than in cars and trucks where you add extra air(and fuel) to improve power on top of normal driving.

  • @aviatorsbh Dont speek on somethings u dont have a clue on! Its not hard to turbo charge two strokes even thoses who dont have fuel injetion. Search Snowmobile two stroke turbo kits att google and learn something.

  • i thaught 2 strokes would be faster than 4 strokes :S

  • @xxpreciouSbabyxx this engine was 2stoke in order to be cheaper;) anyway it is fast enough for the price and for the rivals!

  • hahahaha thats awesome! ive always wanted to see how the old cars did in the 0-100 test.

  • Brings back memories of my first car (not this SAAB). Same sound, and very flexible engine: switching from gear 1 to 3 doesn't kill it.

Mine had ca. 850cm^3 and took 10l/100km. Top speed ca 110?

  • is it gearbox 7:38 spec 2?

  • Does it have DKW or Wartburg 3=6 engine?

  • about 14-15 seconds ^^

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • I have never seen a 0-100 km/h-test with a SAAB twostroke '64-'65-'66!
