I think the attempt at being modern,in christian music tradition was behind the trend. stryper released reborn with no guitar solo's why secular rock bands were bringing solo's back. disturbed started putting solos in there music. avenged seven fold came out with there guitar solo's little by little shredding came back leading up to such bands as dragonforce. while stryper released an album that wasnt modern but rather behind the times.

if they (in my opinion) would combine the harder metal riffs they used in Reborn w/ the guitar solos in Murder By Pride...They'd sound more modern

about the "attempt to be modern"

I was thinking about stryper being "modern"...and the first thing that came to my mind.....was the album "truth" by micheal sweet, it had the balance between...hard guitars, solos and other stuff so at the same time sounded modern... I wounder what would happened if oz, rob and tim were in " truth"?

Murder by pride (to me) is great album I really like the songs, but I would like to hear another attempt to be modern...(of course in the terms I just "said")

murder by pride is great but not heavy as in god we trust, soldier under command...

but excellent album. for me better as reborn (in music)

and a coming back to clear wordz about Jesus on album.

the world now stryper as christian. so no problem to speak on the music clearly about Jesus-Christ. oh yeah
