  • The European Union is the finest example of international unity in the entire world. It's also the only friends we actually have left, so keep it shut Nigel you racist git.

  • To Thecuregalore94, The EU is the finest example of international unity? What are you on about? The EU is corrupt, deceiving, lying, won't accept 'No' for an answer in referendums, and hates democracy. Did you vote in Herman Van Rompuy? No. Is that democratic? No. The UK has plenty of friends around the world. We are the head of the Commonwealth in which there are 2 billion people who work together for peace. The EU isn't the-be-all-and-end-all.

There's also only one race - the human race.

  • @geography27 If the EU is corrupt, deceitful, lying and stubborn, then how are they any different from the Cuntservatives? Trust me, the European Union is our last friend and we will do well to remember that. Of course David Cameron doesn't realise this because if he had it his way unrestricted then he'd shut the borders up and continue bombing innocent Afghan civilians.

  • @Thecuregalore94 There's no need to use foul language whilst having a debate over the EU. Also, no thanks, I won't trust you. The EU being our last friend? That's quite narrow-minded thinking. Have you shares in the EU or something? Have you not read anything in my comment? It appears to me that you don't like the truth being spoken about the damaging effect the EU has on the general public. No fairness and democracy... that sounds to me like Nazism. A very, very dangerous game.

  • @geography27 Alas, I may have let slip a vulgarism, but we aren't children - you should really grow a pair in adult discussions. I have no shares in the European Union, but I am an aspiring lawyer who has the potential to acquire wealth that would allow shareholding to become a hobby. You want Nazi democracy explained? No referendum on the Iraq-Afghan war on terror. I'm a liberal, my friend - equality and fairness is my passion and Nazism is far from it.

  • @Thecuregalore94 No we aren't children, but most adults seem to still act like them. Adults have resposibilites, that's what makes us adults - having respect is one, and using better words than silly little meaningless ones (i.e. strong language). But you let that respect on your side, slip. It was Labour who put the UK into Iraq and Afghanistan. Not the Tories. Too much liberalism causes war, and not enough liberalism causes war. There's got to be the balance...

  • @geography27 I have respect - just not for the Conservative party, its members and affiliates. I can also say whatever I please, regardless of whether or not it's acceptable language at your Sunday afternoon tea party. You want to see a perfect example of a man acting like a child? Nigel Farage playing the 'Gilderoy Lockhart' smug attitude towards the noble and more respected (note that part carefully) Mr. Rompuy.

  • @Thecuregalore94 Yes, you can say whatever you please, but you'll not gain respect from anyone. I'm sorry you seem to have to appear to me (and likely others) like you're on some moral high ground. I have no respect for that Rompuy, because he's a devious smug, who cares for nothing for the people in the EU. His support will most likely be through payment of some sort. He's loaded for nothing. You can't see the woods for the trees. If you support the EU, consider moving there.

  • @geography27 I'm not aiming for a moral high ground, I'm just being logical in a very serious situation in which we could potentially make many enemies. I do support the European Union and I do infact live in a country that is part of it, so what's the point of your closing sentence?

  • @Thecuregalore94 You appear to be on a moral high ground. Being logical doesn't mean joining up with bullies to appease them and take their orders. They want what the UK has, and that is called jealousy. Jealousy is a bad thing. Make many enemies? What, because the UK won't bow down to the we-don't-care-about-the-general-public corrupt bullies called the EU? Screw the EU. I don't know what country you're in, that's the point of my closing sentence.

  • @geography27 I'm merely looking at what is most economically sound as well as neutral and supportive of our foreign allies. I'm an English liberal here who's just trying to tell you how important our good friends within the European Union really are. They are key to our friendship and an improvement to our foreign relations. If you really think we should desert those who help us just because they're mainland European, I've no choice but to question your views on foreigners...?

  • @Thecuregalore94 Finally got the answer to why you want a united European Union. All about the money. Money is the root of all evil, proof of that is all around us with greed followed by recessions and brankruptcy. Countries no need to be politically united to help each other out. The key to countries international friendship is accepting veteos and 'No' votes in national referendums. True friends don't ignore that (like the EU ignored them), true friends accept that...

  • @geography27 I don't care about money or a global market, I'm 17! Lol, I just think the European Union is a brilliant institution that allows foreign countries who we USED to be hostile with to become allies and friends (such as France and Germany like you mentioned).

  • @Thecuregalore94 You've a lot to understand yet, as do a lot of other people. The European Union is not, I repeat not a brilliant institution when you will not have the vote in any say over EU matters. Doesn't that bother you? You would become a very, very small voice. The EU does not believe in democracy, they do what THEY want, and not the referdums want. I do not belive in a damaging set-up like the EU. The EU disgusts me. It is despicable....

  • @geography27 I'm hardly going to be the biggest voice in Britain, am I? The Tory pigs in their mansions are the only people who have a say, and seeing as they're xenophobic politicians who will only ever put forward a referendum that's guaranteed to go their way, what's the point? The European Union puts them in check, stopping billionaire capitalists from exploiting the common people during times of economic hardship.

  • @Thecuregalore94 .... We were hostile towards them, because they wanted to plunder and attack us, and to take what they wanted for themselves! Wouldn't you be hostile if your neighbours attacked where you lived?

Who says we must be part of a damaging, publicily-unelected, political union, just to be allies and friends? That is what bullies do. You can be friends with others, whilst being independent, without being bound and gagged like the EU wants! The UK can stand on it's ''own two-feet''.

  • @geography27 I think you're living in the age of the Second World War, still. If we leave the EU, it makes us look like a hostile faction that frankly doesn't give a fuck about any of our allies. That is NOT what friends do, friends stick together and offer support whenever it is needed. Oh, and if my neighbours attacked me, I'd attempt to negotiate and make peace, then if that fails - file a lawsuit (I'm a law student after all :P).

  • @Thecuregalore94 I'm in my 30s, I didn't experience WWII. It's not all about the World Wars either. Napoleon, he was French and didn't like us! We've had numerous wars with France, et al, spanning centuries. Who cares what we look like to others? If the UK can stand on it's own "two feet", and help other countries without a political union, then what's wrong with that? The UK isn't weak. Friends do help out but they DO NOT need political union to be friends!...

  • @geography27 How your country looks to others is extremely important! Honestly, why are you so afraid of just being NICE to other people for once? We've done some horrific things in the past and led brutal wars and regimes, but now everyone is finally neutral and supporting one another. Why are you so intent on ruining that?

  • @Thecuregalore94 I'm afraid to say I pity your generation regards the EU. Afraid of being nice? For a start, you don't know me. I'm not afraid of being nice. The UK can be nice without political integration, there is no need for a political union that does not belive in democracy! Can't you understand that? Intent on ruining our independence, full control over our country and free speech? Why are you so intent in giving our powers away to others who don't reside in the UK....

  • @Thecuregalore94 ... If you wish for integration, think of it this way on a smaller scale. Open your front door and let people use your furniture, your plates, pans, cutlery, bath/shower, toilet, bed, and you don't have a say over what they can and can't do in YOUR space. How would that make you feel? I really do worry about you, even though I don't know you.

  • @geography27 Thats wot will happen if we go back to the conmanwealth.

  • @Thecuregalore94 ...Do you not understand that? The EU countries DO NOT treat us like friends. They dropped themselves in it with the rubbish Euro. They can sort their own mess out, with help from friends and allies, but there IS NO NEED for a political union to do that! The EU dictates to the people, what they can and can't do, when WE cannot pick and choose who decide these despicable EU laws! You've become quite gullable in your beliefs of a fluffy-bunny, airy-fairy EU...

  • @Thecuregalore94 ...Furthermore, I don't think that you'd negotiate and make peace in the neighbours situation. Why not? Because the world isn't perfect, never has been, never will be. You may wonder, Why not? Because that is not the law of nature. I don't think a country could file a lawsuit against another. It would be extremely complicated.

  • @geography27 Depends on what view on human nature you have. Look, I have a lot of Christmas preparations to do so I'm going to have to wrap this up. It has been very interesting speaking to you, mate, but I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you and call it a day. I hope you have a merry christmas.

  • @Thecuregalore94 (Strictly speaking, Napolean was Corsican, but was on the French side of the Napoleonic Wars)

  • @Thecuregalore94 There is a big smokescreen from the EU, to 'get away with things', that suits them. The really does make a lot of people across the EU countries quite angry.

  • @Thecuregalore94 .... The EU doesn't want friendships, they want power, greed and ignorance towards the general public. I do not want to be a part of that. The countries of the Commonwealth should work togethner, not the countries of the EU. The Commonwealth should trade within itself, as well as around the world with non-Commonwealth countries. They stay independent, trade, and work alongside each other for common intwerests, and not politically united....

  • @Thecuregalore94 .... that's where the trouble starts, being forcefully united politically and economically. I have no issue regarding foreigners from around the world whatsoever. People want their own space, it is natural to have our own patch. People should be allowed to do that, and have friends, and work with their friends without being bound together forcefully. The EU does not believe in democracy and free speech. That to me sounds dictatorial....

  • @Thecuregalore94 .... the French do not like the UK. They are bitterly angry. What for? Because again, it's about wealth, we have a bigger economy than them, and we have The world's financial capital. Germany too want London for their own interests. The EU do not care for the UK. Incidentally, the UK should evntually split up and work and trade with each other and other countries within the Commonwealth. That would help a lot of poor countries out, especially in Africa.

  • @Thecuregalore94 .... P.S. You're not my friend, as you don't know me.

  • @Thecuregalore94 ,

Bombardier is to cut more than 1,400 jobs at the UK's last remaining train manufacturing plant, in Derby, after losing a £3bn UK government contract to a German rival.

How on earth do you work that one out,our tax money going to Germany, all those workers lost tax revenue, and dole money to find

I suppose that is classed as doing a very good trade export with Europe and being very good friends,

  • @MrELOPNE OH NO! DERBY'S IN TROUBLE?!?! Have you ever been to Derby Country's football ground? They have the worst chant I've ever heard.

  • so true!

  • @scooma1 I agree. The Occupiers are right that there are serious problems with our country, but their solutions are only going to make it worse. The government and corporations are working together; that is crony capitalism. They should be protesting the government and the companies that work with them and demand a market free from government kickbacks, bailouts, and, most of all, lobbying. But I think the US is starting to look more and more like a police state... we'll see how it goes

  • ...owned

  • EUROPE AND UK ETC- ITS ALL A COMMY EU DICTACTORSHIP NOW- GETTING HORRIBLE TO LIVE - I AM SERIOUS - every way you look, turn, try to do- there is an EU bullshit rule stopping freedom - so is it a true democracy? NO !! unless you have a cushy Public sector job or are a politician in EU

  • the eu is a joke a dying organization europe is going down like the titanic.

  • I searched EU in youtube, got their channel, a VanRumouy speech, and guess what? You can't comment! Just like most communist channels. I saw no link, to send a message. They don't want any input! You in GB, you must leave the EU ASAP. You can join the USA in a trade agreement, screw the EU. They are headed straight for the bottom of the economic pit. Now don't be eating those curved bananas, or the Fruit Police will arrest you. Oh... and don't drink bottled water; it will NOT cure your thirst!

  • The EU has decided that WATER will not cure dehydration.

  • 'If this is the sort of club the euro is becoming, perhaps Germany should leave': Merkel threatened to quit single currency

    By Daily Mail Reporter

Last updated at 11:36 AM on 4th December 2010

The German chancellor warned her country could pull out of the euro as nations wrangled over the future of the single currency, it has emerged.

  • The markets are already beginning to turn on Portugal.

  • A payment of up to £10billion for Ireland is just the start, with speculators now starting to target the embattled economy of Portugal.

It is also seeking to take an ever more dominant role in border control issues, leaving its member states powerless to control migrant flows not only from other EU countries but from Asia and Africa too.

The European Court of Human Rights has trampled on British justice, preventing the deportation of terror suspects.......

  • GET BRITAIN OUT OF EUROPE!

    Thursday November 25,2010

    By The Daily Express

THE Daily Express today becomes the first national newspaper to call for Britain to leave the European Union.

From this day forth our energies will be directed to furthering the cause of those who believe Britain is Better Off Out.

The famous and symbolic Crusader who adorns our masthead will become the figurehead of the struggle to repatriate British sovereignty from a political project that has comprehensively failed.

  • Only politician on this fucking planet with a set of bollocks. Fair play Nige.
