60d fine and redrock rig and your done.. its all about the glass, so spend you money on that...

lighting dont go nuts, use reflectors and redheads is fine.... softbox would help but you can bounce off reflector does the same thing.

tripod and dolly thats key... most work is done that way.

the sony nex cameras are an option aswell

I recommend the 60D It's almost the same as the 5D and the T2i. It has 1080p recording I think I'm not sure it's 18 mgpxl's. Plus it has that super cool lcd pop screen.

@Spel48 I do Promotion for Canon and have used all the cameras you mentioned. But I must disagree, The 60D is by no means a bad camera, but it's basically a 550D (t2i in US) with a flippy screen, which can be useful, but I wouldn't want to spend another 300 bucks just for that screen. And you can't compare the 60D or T2i to the 5D mark II. 5D is a total beast, better than any of the 1D series even to me. The Fullframe sensor is gorgeous.

@supergamer2346 well here are some tips right now but I will make a video for beginning film makers shortly.

Tip one - watch tons of movies and take notes on how they edit the movie or use different camera angles and also how they light things meaning how scary movies the lighting is always very dark but comedies the lighting is always very bright and cheerful.

Tip two - save up money and buy any camera you can to start off with and go out with friends or brothers/sisters and shoot little movie

It's not 24p it's 24fps. p is progressive. fps is frames per second.

@thetechzonelive lol ok lesson time no duh its 24fps but its 24 p becuz those 24 frames goes into a progressive scan nd progressive stream instead of interlace stream making it true 1080 p footage at 24 fps instead of 1080i at 24 fpslol make sense : P..years of film skool I know what im talking about

@AfroPenKid Ah, the terminology used in the video confused me. I usually refer to it as 24 progressive frames per second. Also, I would opt for the 5D Mark ll because you won't notice an extreme difference with the XF305 or XF300. Remember, a really expensive body will only get perfect results with good glass.
