  • FUCK YOU PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMERICA HAS BEEN DOUSING ALCOHOL DOWN PEOPLE'S THROATS AND SELLING LIKE THE DREAM TO BE FOR DECADES. DRINK YOURSELF TO DEATH ALREADY OR SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT YOUR PRECIOUS WATER THAT TELLS YOU YOUR A GOOD BOY. WAKE UP THIS IS BRAINWASHING YOU STUPID FUCKS. NOT AN AMERICAN ICON

  • @TheFfffff3 You need a drink.......

  • @The Ffffff3 Have a beer and shut the fuck up righteous bitch.

  • Ed McMahon, sidekick for Johnny Carson and spokesman for Alpo and Budweiser

  • And this is why I'm glad I wasn't alive in the '70s.

  • Ahhh, another commercial I remember from my youth! Thanks for sharing.

  • Classic commerical, and over a great drink and product.

  • I hope whoever wrote this knows how much we still love it !!!

  • I too remember these commercials, and I never tire of watching them, although I do not drink, I still feel they are very much apart of THE AMERICAN SPIRIT!!!

  • I have been singing this since i was 9 and here it is wow tv does do a job on our brain I even sang it just like this !

  • Thumbs up if you watched this vid, because you saw this on Close Encounters!

  • Back when Budweiser was a family owned, American company, Berry Farrell was handling the lines on the Clydesdales, and we had confidence in ourselves and our country. Its almost sad to watch it now.

  • @Dirtfire No, I don't agree at all. There are still the people, the Constitution, the will and drive to make this country great again. Mourning what was is just a goad to make it great again.

  • Is this the oldest Christmas Bud ad with the Clysdales?

  • @broadwayFan28 Who the fuck cares?

  • @broadwayFan28 no, I don't think so.

  • Stupid irritating commercial. That dalmatian is on drugs

  • thumbs up if u can drive a coach like that - I consider even ours with only two horses is difficult to navigate sometimes ;)

  • @LaskaSkywalker Two is more than enough for me too. Driving four I ended up with the leaders heads in my lap.

  • Ed McMahon was the spokesman for Budweiser for many years

  • I love the classics but the newer ones are so imaginative .

  • God Bless Ed McMahon

  • I remember this vividly. Much better commercial than todays. Upbeat, fun.

  • this would make a cool ringtone.

  • We love our Clydesdale's in MO!!! They are truely a Missouri trademark...not Budweiser...they belong to the people!

  • Remember when they had "Beer Talk" on The Tonight Show?

  • watching...close encounters of the third kind...and this commercial comes on in the back round LOL...

  • @DartsRme312 I remember that! A classic commercial!

  • So glad that Budweiser takes such good care of these horses. :)

    Love this commercial!!

  • A classic! Also good to see a beer ad that doesn't have that stupid disclaimer telling us to "Drink Responsibly" at the end.

  • Mother was troubled that I used to sing this. Whether it was that it was a beer commericla or that I was singing in a soprano voice I'll never know.

  • I REMEMBER THIS!!! God, I was a little kid, though, like 3 years old or something!

They showed this ad in the background on the TV in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", which I think was made in 1977. They also drove a huge Ford LTD wagon in that movie!

  • @njot3 sorry njot....lol...i didn't see your comment posted..i posted pretty much the same one later on!!..good eye

  • i hate german beer

  • Ahhhhh! Memories!

  • can anyone tell me the lyrics from :20-21

  • The King is coming. Let's hear the call. When you've said Budweiser. You've said it all!!! Fook Yeah!!!!!

  • Heh the later one. hte musical one. wihtout the words, same tune mostly. good god i feel old now

  • "Let's hear the call"

  • clydesdales are the biggest animals i've ever seen, t.v. does their size no justice at all

  • You got that right

  • GORGEOUS Horses

  • wow...i was 8 when this commercial was on and i remember it word for word note for note!

  • i need a drink now..

  • When you say Bud you've said it all.

  • just imagine how hard it would be to control them is they spook

  • In the film Close Encounters, when Richard Dreyfuss character is building a mock up of Devil's Tower in his livingroom, this advert is playing on the TV! Nice little jingle and Budweiser IS the best!

  • this is not that ad...it was another one in which the ending of the ad showed a cold glass of bud.

  • @tomtcf76 I remember that scene as well. I loved Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I hope no remake is planned. I used to have the original CETK t shirt back in 1977 and the chewing gum movie cards pack. They had a poster too which I owned at the time as a 9 year old.

  • @tomtcf76 ~ LOL - exXACTly why I came hunting for the ad..to find just that one! x) ~ Ya gotta love Bud'!

  • I am glad I found this, thanks for sharing, now my kids don't think I'm so crazy

  • I love it, and as I was born in 78, have never sen it before. First person perspective rocks, and thanks for posting it! It was like being there driving a six-in-hand, so cool

  • This makes me miss baseball season. NO, it makes me miss the Cardinals.

  • I love the Clydesdales!

  • Lovely video... There were 3 or 4 in this series, 4 I've got the 40 second one up..

This video was taken at Grant's Farm in St. Louis (The Busch Family Estate)...

  • Do you know where I can get an instrumental version of the music?

  • Opening/closing narration by Ed McMahon!

Here comes the king of beers with the Clydesdales!

  • It wasn't that long ago they were still using this music in the Christmas Clydesdale spots.

  • And as I'm reminded, they still play it at Cardinals games.
