Oh, I've never heard of this game, I'm a 90s RPG fanatic myself, and I haven't found a touching RPG since Kingdom Hearts I, and before that the last RPG that I really enjoyed was FF9, making PSX era ending the great RPGs, excluding that KH. I must give this one a try, I wonder if my ps2 still works..
heeeey...so as i said i'm giving it a try...this is the first song on the list that got to me, probably cuz i played the game...it's a beautiful piece, and agreeing with you it fits that ending pretty well
While this version is named "End Theme", in the game, there's another version in-game, which is the same thing with some of it cut out. I believe that version was called "Configuration".
Of course, somewhere else on YouTube, I heard (err, read) someone use the name "Never-Ending Rain" to refer to the end theme.
Because RPGs have been too easy in this day and age and it was good to see an RPG that required you to actually use tactics to win a battle again.
Some of the older gamers like myself appreciated the difficulty level because frankly, I hate games that are so retardedly easy that you can just button mash your way through instead of thinking out a strategy for the most efficient win possible without taking too much damage.
That's the beauty of the Shin Megami Tensei games.
Well, the enemies and magic basically stay the same throughout the megaten series, so it's not too to stay ahead level-wise in the game. To me Nocturne, Baroque, and even Persona 2 presented more of a challenge than DDS.
Don't get me wrong though, I loved both DDS games. I think that the gameplay is very straight-cut and efficient, providing more room to focus on the plot, which was outstanding for a game that's not too well-heard-of.
And speaking of button mashing coughkingdomheartsyuuck...
I completely agree, although the shin magami games are intense to say the least, they are beatable giving a greater sense of accomplishment, which I thought was the point.
True enough... modern games lack the charm old ones have. Nowadays they just focus on graphics, and forget things like story, or music, or just making it playable and addictive... I mean... look at all those games from the 90's in these lists. That must mean something, right?

The storyline of the game is good, but the gameplay is freaking hard. I don't stand why people enjoy playing DDS, i didn't.WHY?

A lot of modern game music is not very melodic and I believe that contributes to the lack of charm you referred to.
I am not familiar with this game, but I have missed out on a lot of good games (and game music) because I can not tolerate turn based RPGs :(

Wow...this is definitely one of the best ending themes i have ever heard... although the best emotional theme for me is FF1s ending theme.

Forgot to reply to your comment, yeah, it is a great ending theme. :)

Yea. Part of it can be nostalgia, but a lot of older songs really get to me.
