The 03 turtles are all rather unique with noticeably different personalities. the 86 turtles however are extremely funny and very enjoyable to watch. Now the mirage turtles... well there just bad ass.
This movie had its flaws with 87' Turtles but really, you cannot mix all three versions (Mirage, 87', and 03' at least) without someone being displeased or creating problems for one version. For an ending on the '03 series, this was good. I liked this movie a lot and I believe some things could have been better, I have to say I adored seeing ALL the turtles in this movie.
@koatam Speaking of which, are the Turtles part of the DC universe, or the Marvel universe? Or are they in that very, very, very slim pocket of pop culture comic book superheroes that are neither Marvel nor DC?
Well, this is the best movie about turtles so far, but also the greatest bullshit about the animated series of 80s. I don't like new turtles, because they obviously weaker then any previous incarnations, but in this movie they are waaaay cooler then they should be (because tv guys still need to sell them on tv). I say screw that incarnation, they dumb and not attractive at all - please make a live action movie about original gloomy tutrles with 18+ rating. That'd be awesome.
This movie.... was like.. someone melted down the essence of a pepperoni pizza and a two liter of code red mountain dew, and injected them directly into my soul. It was like being given a flying puppy that never needs to poop. It was like having a pretty redhead suddenly find you interesting. It was... good.
Was a good watch, not a fan of the new turtles, but I thought they went over board with the 80s turtles, as a kid i remember they were always fun and goofy but still had sense to solve problems. This film kinda took the piss with how stupid and especially scared they were.....other then that was great to see them back.
i never watched ninja turtles, i wasn't born during the original series, and i never saw the 2003 series either, but now i see what i missed out on. Long Live, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
@CrushingC10996WM yeah i missed the original series but i got to watch the 2003 series most of the way thru up until back to the sewers and i loved it much more than the 80's cartoon because it was far more serious and dark which is very funny since 4kids aired it and the dragon arc special they had was awesome, but fast forward was kinda ridiculous. i also liked it when they had uzagi yojimbo make an appearance in the show so to me 2003 turtles will always be the best
@cartoonkingforeever The '80s Turtles deserve kudos for being brave enough to try this show for kids. As do the comic book guys who wrote the original stories; it couldn't have been easy to pitch the concept to producers and publishers. If they hadn't put their feet in the doors, the 2003 show wouldn't have existed.
@ztslovebird yeah but i still like 2003 for having more guts to make it dark and intense because in the end the 80's series was still fairly childish, have you watched all of 2003?
The 2003 Shredder completly lost his mind (sanity) due to his hatred of the Ninja Turtles and the 2003 Shredder does not even care if his own existance is erased due to his insanity caused by his hatred of the Ninja Turtles.
hahaha those in nostalgia are in denial. This is exactly how the old school turtles were, total goofs and ready for the kids of that time. I mean look at the old intro that we all remember! "Michelangelo is a party dude" ...........
Without spoiling anything for people who read comments before the video, the way the final battle in this is finished is absolute genius on so many levels. I was never a big fan of TMNT in the first place, but even despite that I recognize that it'd be hard to have such a fitting resolution otherwise.
@TheGambitcard Good, that son of a b*tch Chy'rell deserves to burn in Hell for trying to murder the Turtles as well as drain the color of the former Fox Box!
I really enjoyed this but the 1987 characters were nowhere near as silly as it makes them out to be. And for all the people that say "TMNT are supposed to be dark", it doesn't matter. Different incarnations appeal to different people. For me the 'real' Turtles will always be the late 80s cartoon version, as that's what I was first introduced to. But we are all entitled to our opinions.
I do wish they'd included Venus in this though. And the 1987 Casey.
To the folks that didn't get it: Shredder Prime falling off the roof was a reference to the comics. He died in the first issue. Fell of a roof and got blown up by a grenade if I recall correctly.
1987 version of the turtles was awsome, they made them look like morons in this production, and shredder was a million times better in the 1987 version, a little alien controlling a shredder suit? give me a break

Sure they weren't as dark and serious as the other turtles, but they got the job done, the blimp wasn't as embarrassing as it was in this movie, '89 Leo should've been serious and annoyed with the others being that goofy. I also expected more from Krang, threatening to SUE??? Krang would threaten only to DESTROY!!!
Good luck reconstructing your body THIS time, Terrell...
Always found it cheap how the freakin' TCRI building IMPLODED on him and left a clean crater, yet they somehow reconstructed his body. How many times does this guy "die"?
@shadeslay406 His name is Ch'rell, he's the One True Shredder. And he WAS going to come back. They wanted to make another season, The Shredder Wars, with all the Shredders coming back, including The One True Shredder (Ch'rell). He's an Utrom, he can ALWAYS be ressurected. They even ressurected him after he got destroyed in the original comics.
Wow, just watched the whole thing, not a fan of the franchise, but this really is EPIC! The story itself is pretty stupid, like something you would see in a fanfiction, but this was handled REALLY well, with actual competence and seriousness, they definitely put a lot of good effort into this!
@lordeisschrank I dont know. I mean, hardcore fans of 88s cartoon are sometimes total jerks, when it comes to other versions "AAAAGH!!!! TMNT are not supposed to be dark! They are supposed to be like in cartoon!" So, I think someone had to do this.
Okay wait, I understand if the Turtles were affected by the originals in this much harm, but why is it affecting everyone else? Are the Ninja Turtles just the center of the universe or something? And if thats the case, then why is the newer Shredder unaffected?
This mofo actually tripped over a power cord and almost killed the whole multi-verse. One thing that's bothering me though... if 03 Shedder succeeded in killing the classic turtles, wouldn't he end up killing himself too? I thought killing the turtles would result in all other TURTLES being killed, but it seemed to be effecting everyone that was there, so why didn't the Utrom have the same headache everybody else had?
How is Ch'rell supposed to return? He was fucking disintegrated. Besides, I think Tengu Shredder should have been a much better villian. I always preffered him over the alien one.
BTW, what happened to 80's April? She was kidnapped by a banana...
I'm neutral to the turtles, seen a little of the 80s/90s version, seen a little of the '03 version while growing up. I had never known about the comic version and thought the 80s cartoon was the beginning. But, I really do like how the comic turtles are. I seriously could have sworn though, the 80s Turtles had more personality. Oh well.
Now seeing this movie, it's just a great nostalgic touch for fans of all of the versions. I just wish they could have made it a little better. Like development.
@SeanTaco Karai changes heart and foils his first plan then their incompetence and his and old Shredder's own combined technology kills him, give the bad guys enough time they do each other in, classic villain weakness.
The last part when everyone left and the original turtles did that pose and it all faded to the comics beeing made, that moment made me almost fell a tear. Been a turtles fan since the mid 80`s, this movie was truly a nostalgic moment!
Wait why the FUCK didn't the 80's turtles just whack their shredder when they were walking back to that giant ball? What just cuz there's a bigger asshole named shredder suddenly that makes their shredder a good guy? NO! he's the asshole that brought the bigger asshole shredder into their dimension.
The 2003 Shredder has been one of the most threatening villains in my life. Ever since in 2003, he tried to kill the Fox Box, even trying to kill not only the Turtles, but characters like Kirby and Sonic. I'm glad Bebop and Rocksteady killed him in the end. Nice video!
For die hard TMNT fans, supposedly this year or next, a 3rd TMNT series is set to premiere on Nickelodeon, with rumored American Pie actor Jason Biggs as the voice of Leonardo.
Over 25 years later, and Turtles still kick butt.
For those who don't quite understand, this movie was suppose to span between generations of TMNT fans, from the very beginning to now, from the comics and original series to now, and for the younger generation to fully understand the origins of TMNT.
I am a fan of everything that is TMNT, since I was born the same year it first came out, 1984 and I always will be.
lmao idk why anyone would bash the newer series that was made in 2003, its very similar to the one in the 80's except its updated, now the real crime was the next mutation series...what a fucking disgrace, a girl turtle? really? really?
@Jericholic2323 Why not a girl turtle? Sure, she could've been developed better, but I don't see the problem with it (although Next Mutation needed a better story)
@RoadPublications because its just not rite, having april is enough, in my opinion a girl turtle is just stupid because there was never one in the beginning or originals, no need for one, its better to just have april
@griffin456456456 Well the first movie (Live action one that Jim Henson's creature shop brought Splinter and the Turtles to life not that CGI movie) had elements from the comic in it such as some of the story arc and the story of Splinter's Master and owner Hamto Yoshi being killed, it also had some elements from the 80's Toon but it wasn't really as wacky as the 80's toon, it was actually kind of dark compared to the current Turtles series that was airing at the time.
@griffin456456456 whats wrong with the child friendly tmnt? O_o why does every mirage tmnt fan!! want the turtles to swear and decapitate foot ninjas!!?
Ok I just have to say as a fan of the 80s toon Turtles that seeing them the way they were portrayed here just made Me feel really insulted like someone took a piece of My childhood and hurt it until it was brain damaged, Rocksteady and Bebop only ever called Shredder the Master during the first season the rest of the majority of the show they refer to Shredder and Krang as the boss. The 80s toon never used nicknames as they always used full names which is one reason I always call *2bcont.*
*Continued* which is one reason I call Myself Samuel instead of Sam or any shortened version of it, it was because the 80s toon influenced Me enough to do that, also the Turtles wouldn't stupidly stop to go eat Pizza if Shredder was up to no good. In the episode Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady when Shredder puts his mind control device on top of the channel 6 building the Turtles stopped eating Pizza at the parlor they were at and sprang into action to stop Shredder *2bcont.*
*Continued* Also the lack of not doing their research on the old series and insulting it constantly was bad enough, but did they seriously have to go as far as making the 80s Turtles cry the way they did, since I was such a big fan of the 80s toon and would still watch it if I could find episodes on Youtube that makes those Turtles old childhood heroes of mine, its painful to see My old childhood heroes portrayed that way and to see that they made them fall apart that easily no one else *2bcont.
*Continued* I mean no one else would apperciate it if they saw their old childhood heroes break down crying that easily. I mean come on no one else would like their heroes being portrayed as characters that run away from a fight crying.
I don't think it was the point of them portraying it badly (Well, lack of research of course) but I think it was the fact that they were changing it to make the classic turtles badass (I know they weren't changed much, though) and then the 80's turtles really goofy while the new turtles were set in the middle. Otherwise I have a feeling they'd have issues with the overlapping personalities between all 3 sets of them. If that makes any sort of sense at all?
@IguanaSpunk Well I guess so, but really I could have done without all those "take that" moments and cheapshots at one of My old favorite shows, and like I said did they really have to make the 80's Toon Turtles run away from a fight crying? I mean that was going too far for fans of the old school toon and people like Me who they were childhood heroes too, that part really wasn't needed with all the lack of doing any resarch and all the insults to the 80's toon's stuff.
@Thenumber1yoshi i think the reason they were running away instead of fighting all the time was because they knew it was a movie and not just an episode of the 87 series. in that series they knew they would always win because they were the main characters and would never die. however it being a movie and considering what happened to the main characters during the 80's, you can't really blame em. i mean this time they might be killed off just like optimus,,,,,or worse screw up as badly as hotrod
@IguanaSpunk *Theres a comment before this one* I mean making them cry just added insult to injury and was pretty much the last straw I had, it made Me P.O.d at whoever was writing the stuff for the 80's Toon Turtles, you just don't mess with someone's childhood like that.
This whole movie was a total mind frick. O__o

Rickgaarn 7 months ago
@Rickgaarn Thanks for the name, I'd forgotten the spelling. Been a while since I watched the episodes.
And I know, I'm just pointing out that this is hardly anything special. =P

@shadeslay406 Man, Ch'rell feels like a horror film character due to the fact that he never dies...

Aiursrage3 7 months ago
@Aiursrage3 the turtles never were about comedy they were grim it's just the 80's cartoon that made them into some slapstick comedy show
TheLupe96 5 months ago

WikiSorcerer 7 months ago
This isn't nearly as good as Part 1 of 9.

WebbanationX 8 months ago
@WebbanationX the uncut version actually has the scene of Shredder realizing what would happen to him

How is Ch'rell supposed to return? He was fucking disintegrated. Besides, I think Tengu Shredder should have been a much better villian. I always preffered him over the alien one.
BTW, what happened to 80's April? She was kidnapped by a banana...
Grandstra 8 months ago

The 2003 Shredder has been one of the most threatening villains in my life. Ever since in 2003, he tried to kill the Fox Box, even trying to kill not only the Turtles, but characters like Kirby and Sonic. I'm glad Bebop and Rocksteady killed him in the end. Nice video!
Ebb1993isgreat 9 months ago 2
For die hard TMNT fans, supposedly this year or next, a 3rd TMNT series is set to premiere on Nickelodeon, with rumored American Pie actor Jason Biggs as the voice of Leonardo.
axelpayne69 9 months ago
Over 25 years later, and Turtles still kick butt.
For those who don't quite understand, this movie was suppose to span between generations of TMNT fans, from the very beginning to now, from the comics and original series to now, and for the younger generation to fully understand the origins of TMNT.
I am a fan of everything that is TMNT, since I was born the same year it first came out, 1984 and I always will be.

lmao idk why anyone would bash the newer series that was made in 2003, its very similar to the one in the 80's except its updated, now the real crime was the next mutation series...what a fucking disgrace, a girl turtle? really? really?
Jericholic2323 9 months ago
@Jericholic2323 Why not a girl turtle? Sure, she could've been developed better, but I don't see the problem with it (although Next Mutation needed a better story)

@RoadPublications because its just not rite, having april is enough, in my opinion a girl turtle is just stupid because there was never one in the beginning or originals, no need for one, its better to just have april

@griffin456456456 omg i so totally agree
MsMemphisFlyer 8 months ago
@griffin456456456 Well the first movie (Live action one that Jim Henson's creature shop brought Splinter and the Turtles to life not that CGI movie) had elements from the comic in it such as some of the story arc and the story of Splinter's Master and owner Hamto Yoshi being killed, it also had some elements from the 80's Toon but it wasn't really as wacky as the 80's toon, it was actually kind of dark compared to the current Turtles series that was airing at the time.
Thenumber1yoshi 7 months ago
@griffin456456456 whats wrong with the child friendly tmnt? O_o why does every mirage tmnt fan!! want the turtles to swear and decapitate foot ninjas!!?
hurricanesofhell 7 months ago
Long story short: Despite haters on the new turtles, I love 'em and I love this movie. I'd buy it and watch it over and over again.
It's cute and badass all at the same time. So yeah. I enjoyed this a lot. Being a fan of all the forms of turtles, of course I'd say that.
Guess I'm just on neutral ground <3
IguanaSpunk 9 months ago
Ok I just have to say as a fan of the 80s toon Turtles that seeing them the way they were portrayed here just made Me feel really insulted like someone took a piece of My childhood and hurt it until it was brain damaged, Rocksteady and Bebop only ever called Shredder the Master during the first season the rest of the majority of the show they refer to Shredder and Krang as the boss. The 80s toon never used nicknames as they always used full names which is one reason I always call *2bcont.*
Thenumber1yoshi 9 months ago
*Continued* which is one reason I call Myself Samuel instead of Sam or any shortened version of it, it was because the 80s toon influenced Me enough to do that, also the Turtles wouldn't stupidly stop to go eat Pizza if Shredder was up to no good. In the episode Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady when Shredder puts his mind control device on top of the channel 6 building the Turtles stopped eating Pizza at the parlor they were at and sprang into action to stop Shredder *2bcont.*
Thenumber1yoshi 9 months ago
*Continued* Also the lack of not doing their research on the old series and insulting it constantly was bad enough, but did they seriously have to go as far as making the 80s Turtles cry the way they did, since I was such a big fan of the 80s toon and would still watch it if I could find episodes on Youtube that makes those Turtles old childhood heroes of mine, its painful to see My old childhood heroes portrayed that way and to see that they made them fall apart that easily no one else *2bcont.
Thenumber1yoshi 9 months ago
*Continued* I mean no one else would apperciate it if they saw their old childhood heroes break down crying that easily. I mean come on no one else would like their heroes being portrayed as characters that run away from a fight crying.
Thenumber1yoshi 9 months ago
@Thenumber1yoshi
IguanaSpunk 9 months ago
@IguanaSpunk Well I guess so, but really I could have done without all those "take that" moments and cheapshots at one of My old favorite shows, and like I said did they really have to make the 80's Toon Turtles run away from a fight crying? I mean that was going too far for fans of the old school toon and people like Me who they were childhood heroes too, that part really wasn't needed with all the lack of doing any resarch and all the insults to the 80's toon's stuff.
Thenumber1yoshi 7 months ago
@Thenumber1yoshi i think the reason they were running away instead of fighting all the time was because they knew it was a movie and not just an episode of the 87 series. in that series they knew they would always win because they were the main characters and would never die. however it being a movie and considering what happened to the main characters during the 80's, you can't really blame em. i mean this time they might be killed off just like optimus,,,,,or worse screw up as badly as hotrod
omegashinobi 7 months ago
@IguanaSpunk *Theres a comment before this one* I mean making them cry just added insult to injury and was pretty much the last straw I had, it made Me P.O.d at whoever was writing the stuff for the 80's Toon Turtles, you just don't mess with someone's childhood like that.
