  • Hope more people watch this propoganda video and stop eating Tuna. More tuna for me!!! :D

  • lol look at the the dead stuff

  • And still ever so tasty!!

  • Just a suggestion for greenpeace... i'm a medium enviromentalist, i do co-driving, use eco product, local or regional products (expecially beer miam!) and recycle but try not to do say beef is evil, your a filthy whore if you teach yuor kids to eat meat... I know its not every one from greenpeace who says quite like this but there's a few... And its quite anoying... I remember one my friends saying to my biology teacher that he was eating beef for dinner and he wasnt ashamed of it... quite funny

  • Thanks, now I'm fuckin starving!!!!!!!!

  • Ultimately, humans need food. How do we get food? We have to harvest it like we did when we were part of the food chain.

The rate is unsustainable I agree but the issue is what are we going to eat? Vegetables? Fruits and nuts? Dun they come from living things too? Chemical foods is worse. We need protein and animals are protein.

There is a solution if we want to not eat animals: cannibalism. Hey, there are too many humans anyway.

We either find sustainable food sources or eat each other.

  • Cheap tuna for the win :)

  • HAIKU

    I hatch! Crawl! And swim!

Oh how I love my sweet life,

    Please don’t hunt me.

    —A Green Sea Turtle

  • Stupid green dumb asses

  • i dont know what this video is trying to convince me of

  • @m15kee Eat moar tunas!

  • that shit looks bombed skies!!! cant wait to make me a samich.

  • I have never eaten tuna in my life and this has put me off for life -_-

  • Did any one not already know what this video shows us?

  • Seriously, all you green peace lovers aka hypocrites, you yourselves eat fish and meat and use wooden houses or desks or plastic bags so stfu already with the save the planet theory. If you smarten up a little, you will notice that our planet does NOT need our filthy help at anything LMAO. You really believe that, people, can save a planet? Are you insane??? WE CAN NEVER DO ANY HARM ON THIS PLANET. WE CAN REMOVE ALL ANIMALS AND IN JUST 2 MILLION YEARS THERE WILL BE NEW ONES!!! MORONS!!!

  • @djeskolive I believe most green peace activists who REALLY care DON'T eat fish and meat.. Obviously, since it's one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gases.. And can you elaborate on how we can't do any damage? 7 billion people and counting? That need 3 meals a day, toilet paper, we needed diapers at one point? Electricity? Clothes?

  • @11mothernature so all of them are hypocrites who try to show off that they actually care about the planet. But if it was them who owned a billion making company they would gladly enjoy a tuna fish can and say it proudly! Our need to survive made us the way we are. Just like animals only we're smarter. There's no difference. So why dont we do ourselves a favor and enjoy life as we still can. There are way more serious problems on this planet right now.

  • @11mothernature Well about 3 to 3.5 billion people don't have all that anyway and are dying from poverty related issues like starvation and disease but i guess global warming's more important right?

  • @UDK90 Well if we don't have an Earth, what do we have?? hmm?

  • @djeskolive lol

  • Greenpeace is the best!

    I love Greenpeace.

Greenpeace thanks for saving our planet earth

  • I can't stand it. It makes my insides clench watching that.

  • TUNA IS DELICIOUS!!! BURN ALL THE TREES DOWN!!! KEEP YOUR LIGHTS HEAT AND AC ON ALL THE TIME WITH THE WINDOWS OPEN!!! RUN EVERY APPLIANCE YOU HAVE!!!! FLUSH THE TOILET FOR NO REASON!!!! SCREW GREEN PEACE!!!!

  • @TheMethadoneParty You make me sick!

  • whether greenpeace want to believe it or not.... they're just a cog in the machine

  • I'm starting a new tuna company called "Flipper" so delicious it comes with a chunk of dolphin in every can! Who's with me? you people probably think the fat dude on whale whores is actually accomplishing something. you people should go help Sarah Palin become president!

  • @gugaberg123 i'd rather go club some baby seals, i hear they are scrumptious!

  • No wonder tuna is so good, it has so many other yummy ocean creatures mixed in! Mmmmm tuna!

  • Do you know dolphins kidnap and rape? This is true watch The Dark side of Dolphins and Natgeo.2 male dolphins kidnap a female and keep her so they can have sex whenever they want.Neat show!

  • so this is like me making a video ageist eating fish caught in my nearby lake by showing me real it in, whack its head with a stick and scale it in my back yard.

its called fishing. lol get some :)

  • @Pothila Really? You're blaming your cat's death on tuna? Stop blaming that on tuna and realize that animals die.

And everyone, stop supporting this crap. Seriously, short of filming the fish tanks at Wal-Mart, this was the most poorly put together piece of environmentalist propaganda ever.

  • Comment removed

  • And to think Tesco and Morrison's don't even do pole and line caught tuna. John West and Princess = AVOID.

  • @Pothila Pole and line caught tuna? The canned tuna you are discriminating against is line caught in the USA. Its called Albacore and its caught by hook and line trolling/polling on the west coast. Congrats on misinformation. This video shows multi thousand dollar bluefins and multi hundred dollar big eyes being the containing ingredients in a 2$ can of albacore? Nice job promoting demise and discrimination towards one of the most sustainable tuna fisheries!

  • @strikenetter

these people are fear mongers and have no worries about a few little lies .

  • @throwerofturds Some companies such as Chicken of the Sea do own seining vessels or do purchase seined albacore and even skipjack Tuna. So the fishery isn't comprised primarily of line caught but some of it is. All the footage except for the split second where skipjacks were rolling across the conveyor was void of truth in regards to canned albacore. Greenpeace is currently seeking the lawful restriction of FAD's, which is okay for they aren't needed and attract various species unwanted.

  • man, im gonna eat a lot more canned tuna from now on, just to piss off the dum ass ppl who made this video!

  • Do you ever wonder what goes into a can of whoopass ? heheh Go cry me a river. Boo hoo .Save the poor tuna from being canned. You should go and live in those third world countries for a living. You would be right next to them pulling in the tuna so you can live tomorrow. You have too much so you can complain about how those who have little have no right to do what you think is wrong. boohoo .Do you still suckle from your mommy?

  • I should show this video to my cat. The greedy, selfish, tuna-loving bastard.

  • @SupaAmi My cat would not eat anything much besides tuna and liver. Unfortunately tuna can contain lots of mercury and this may have contributed to the cancer that killed it. Try some sardines.

  • @Pothila Well, I he loves sardines too... but tuna is his favorite. Yes, I know it can contain high levels of mercury, so he only gets it like once a week or so, and only a little.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. =(

  • So what we are supposed to do we tuna eaters! Stop eating Tuna? If so wot fish we can eat Greenpeace?

  • @msafiri85 You can start by eating pole and line caught tuna.

  • Yeah, because anyone who's ever eaten shark or octopus or birds would definitely know: they are absolutely identical to tune. No difference at all. You could put them all in the same can and nobody would ever know. /sarcasm

  • lol

  • wow i thought tuna was made by a fish named tuna .... good thing i dont eat it then :D

  • I saw a lot of pictures of different fish mixed in with pictures of tuna, buuuut, I never did see a squid or dolphin getting ground in with tuna at the processing plant...that would have convinced me. Until then, tuna is tasty, and this video is BULLLLLLSHITTTT

  • now i'm hungry again :D

  • Rio mare for tuna ... like this shit!

  • @Yuffie3982 i was being sarcastic to take the piss out of the stupid comments here, defo agree with your commment.

  • sure greenpeace sure

  • stupid music

  • mmmmmmmm.....Tu-na-fish!

  • Greenpeace is pretty ignorant, honestly. Sure, they mean well, but they go at it all wrong.

  • It's food, so what?

  • OH MY GOD. You mean there's TUNA in my TUNA? ... wtf was this video?

  • Wow yeah you's are all so right this is such awful disinformation. I mean the pictures were like so not how it is in the tuna industry. We all know what the tuna fishin fleet looks like without these videos showing us. And if this is images of the more profitable bluefin fleet then the yellowfin fleet must stunning!

Showing images of the other animals that get caught in the fishing nets. Whats that about? We all now sharks and birds cant get caught in fishing nets! Fishing nets catch FISH DUH!

  • Suck a dick Greenpeace!

  • This video has the same qualities as mind control videos. The quick screen flashes, sped up video, weird beat, quick text... What makes me want to watch this?

  • I get all my disinformation directly from the United Nations.

  • @mwcdx How about the United States?!

  • Greenpiss opposes fishing, and then they attack fish farming. I'm beginning to wonder if they're just an offshoot for PeTA.

  • i am eating a tuna fish sandwich and i love it...!!!

  • Imagine being so self centered that having a pleasant flavor in your mouth is more important than the life and death of all our fellow animals on the planet... Is there any species more superficial and selfish than man?

  • We are seeing high yield short-term with dire long-term consequences, this is not intelligent behaviour.

  • people who think industry that kills animals to a good thing to feed you family need to wake up. Food companies do not care for you health, or your family's health, or whether you are fed or not. They only want your money and do not care for the long-term consequences.

  • Take an economic system + thrives off greed, = which in turn produces a huge output of "products" (dead animals and contaminated crops) = a population that reproduces like mad.

The economy, how it manipulates the food system, is to blame for overpopulation, and wars, done with a fake global monetary system to mass produce people to do the slave work. Now they're are too many slaves. overpop. doesn't cause species extinction, the media, profit and gluttony all do that.

  • Life is more important than profit. we have so much meat and people then wonder why human so-called over population is such a problem. Because we are committing vastly un-sustainable acts, fishing will collapse soon, it is collapsing now, bluefin tuna fish faces extinction in Japanese waters via huge overfishing.

It's not necessary either. It isn't to feed people, it's not for any kind of rational based economy, it is pure greed. Life is more important than profit.

  • Meat eating today is a malevolent force that is done on such a massive scale, almost as massive as the apathy towards those who suffer, human and non-human alike. I have really come to see the beauty of a Vegan lifestyle, and constant researching (RESEARCH VEGANISM, like really look into ALL the info) says we can all be very healthy and live with far less violence in the world.

There's no time to listen to people's put-down remarks because so much is at stake.

  • @101101101777 nothing wrong with meat eating itself. it's been going on for thousands of years. if anything there just needs to be good regulation of the industries. vegans don't get enough iron anyway

  • ok good for you just to let you know being a vegan you have a higher risk of cancer, infection, and about 13 other problems and also the worlds oldest vegan lived to 52

  • Straight up, good vid!

It all looks good until you see it being done, the killing, the fucking injustice not only to those fished in mass operations but those who drowned in the nets, and thrown away, entire species being wiped out for a single piece of their bodies, wiped out as unintentional catches, wiped out for simple living in their homes/habitats.

People can make all the inane remarks they like, but we have to stop killing everything, on land and in the oceans.

  • due to the fact there is mercury in tuna, i hope we don't find out tuna is the leading cause of cancer.

  • i LOVE CANNED TUNA!!

  • Thanks for putting these kinds of videos out for all to see. People need to know the truth.

    Keep the videos coming!

  • The truth is tuna is delicious. :D

I'll worry about mercury when I'm dead.

  • shit happens

  • Industrial ships are a cause for concern, but don't project a sense of demise using a non tuna product for your own personal agenda. Albacore !

  • Still tastes good, by the way, shouldn't the French be blowing one of your boats up soon?

  • Turtles & Baby Dolphins are DELICIUOS!!!

  • im scared nao........

  • Canned albacore, .99 cent to 2.00 a can. 6 to 8 oz. Bluefin tuna , 10.00 to 20.00 $ a pound or more !!! Think about this video ! Yellow fin, 1.50 to 2.00 $, think !!! Not tuna !!! Stolen fish, i like that !! Who owned them ? Rusty ships ? Loved that too !!! All comm. vessels are rusty unworthy vessels ?? Even new vessels ? Great vid !! A real eye opener !!! Sorry, thought it was an eye opener, i just had my eyes closed for 1 minute and 11 seconds !

  • HA HA HA!!! Some interesting comments since my previous viewing !!!! Sustainable tuna ? Has no place here !! Tuna is not present in cans !!! Albacore ! Vickingligrveldi, yes, the world is overpopulated, causing in turn the overconsumption seafood along with many other resources such as industrial livestock. Also, how in the hell are you going to deter the consumption of fish by recycling and composting ?Buttheadx9, no its other countries ! Except you Atheist ? LOL

  • Depopulation of the entire human race (except for me) is the only answer. We must erase the human parasite plague which endlessly leeches upon our limited resources. We, The Obama Elite shall eradicate Global Warming, snuffing out the human life whoes very breath suffocates our Goddess Earth. With your help, we'll create a better pandemic, a more lethal virus, a deadlier plague, in hopes that one day the disease called Humans, are utterly extinct. Because the world is a better place without YOU!

  • gosh you green peace people need a new hobby...is this what makes you find purpose in your life? Lol...such non-sense! just a collage of dead sea life and animals...if you people wanna attack someone go after 3rd world countries the USA is not to blame here

  • i love tuna!!!

  • For the people that commented saying something along the lines of "I love tuna, blah, blah, blah."; nobody cares. I'm not going to try to take that away from you, but you should check out some of the sustainable tuna brands. They're not hard to find.

  • Tuna is not harvested by trawling Korona 3103. You mention sustainable fishing, some of the most sustainable Tuna fishing is being threatened by laws and regs. This vid is to stop fishing ! Greenpeace uses the least effective means of fishing in their vids to project a sense of destruction toward all fishing . Have you ever seen them promote a video in which environment safe comm. practices are used ? NO ! I didn't think so !

  • One thing we all have to admit: food has to come from somewhere, and yes, I'm snacking on a 5 oz can of Chicken of the Sea Tuna as I type and watch this clip, it's delicious...yummy!. Forgive me for not agreeing with this one.

  • Sure eat tuna, just get it from sustainable sources is all they are saying. Trawling endangered fisheries today means no tasty tuna salad tomorrow.

  • Greenpeace states that it is the gov.'s fault , so why should they attack fishing vessels ? Shouldn't they attack governments ? What a dumb ass comment 776 er or something

  • Green peace needs to be more aggressive towards fishing vessels, like the sea shepherd does.

  • i love this video so much, i watch it every day and laugh my butt off, can't wait to see a new vid like this, maybe bologna, spam, corned beef , fish sticks, beef stocks that go in canned vegetables, all kinds of interesting vids to be made. can't wait really gonna curb my lifestyle, ill be thinking about that too just as soon as my tuna salad is finished !! thanks green peace !!!! will try and eat as much canned albacore as possible now !!!!

  • o:29 love how that piece of net is just draped over that turtle !!!!

  • its not even tuna morons !!! Its albacore , do you really think you can get a half pound of tuna for what , a 1.00 $ HA HA HA HA HA , learn the specie in the can before you make a video on it !!!

  • Who fucking cares? Tuna casserole is delicious. damn. now i'm hungry and i just ate an hour ago.

  • When we eat everything up to extinction then people after us will have to resort to vegetables.

  • OH YUM!! TUNA! BRB STORE!

  • Buhuu, im gonna cry myself to sleep today for the tunas and little turtles :(((((((((((((((((((((((

  • yummy tuna tuna tuna, tuna makes you strong and is good for you im not going to be kept away frome some hippy. and that kid in the video sounded like one of them keep up with the jones people

  • OH MAN THAT LOOKS SO FUCKING GOOD!

I could really go for a tuna sandwhich right now!

    Thanks for the inspiration! Yummmieee!!!

  • I'm gonna go make myself a tuna sandwich

  • Should we be vegans or farm our fish? Which is the purpose of this video?

  • there are people starving all across the world, why not make a video on leading world countries' waste of food in general? but sure, who cares right? a fish and a tree is far more important than millions of starving children.

wake up people, fight for a real cause, i beg you. Enlighten others of REAL problems affecting HUMAN beings.

  • no one cares about the environment either!we are selfish hypocrits who love to destroy everything....

  • see, for every kg of meat, they need 6kg of vegtables to feed the animal.

I think with 6KG you can feed more people then with 1KG meat..!!

    So, it makes sence!

  • you made sense with the grain issue. how about the grain used to make biofuels? or, how about the tons of food wasted restaurants from the high-up countries. or how about the amount of food that goes to waste in the supermarkets? in everyone's home? how about the money that goes to war, a new piece of electronic. surely, we would have cured famine by now. waste is everywhere my dear friend. perhaps more important than a fish.

  • This can be solved by the average consumer doing two things: recycling and composting. This eliminates a large amount of waste. You can use the compost to grow your own vegetables. Also get a pet to eat meat scraps.

  • Actually I agree with your sarcastic comment. The world is overpopulated. I would rather have fish and trees than more humans.

I have never been very anthropocentric, though. We would be better off with a nice environment and less humans, than a destroyed eco-system and an overpopulated planet...

  • They really should have used this video to show how global tuna populations are plummeting; many Atlantic tuna species and their populations in particular face extinction very soon if we don't stop eating them up. About 90% of all of the world's largest predatory fish are gone, thanks to industrialized fishing and human overpopulation. (higher demand for fish to feed more people... even very very few humans even require meat to survive.) This video wasn't well executed!

  • Thats pretty odd that Greenpeace would use photos of bluefin tuna being sold in Japan to "enlighten" people about canned yellowfin tuna. Just another day of disinforming the masses I guess...

  • @BlueStateChronicle

this type of harvesting happens with most tuna, and I don't have much doubt it happens with the tuna displayed in the video. You're trying to say that because they showed different fish, that means that the Starfish tuna is totally natural, all-organic, totally guilt-free. It's not, and you know it's not. Just because you found a tiny glitch doesn't mean they're wrong

  • @BlueStateChronicle good point but, its misinforming...

  • I'll be eating tuna all week in honor of this stupid pos video. Welcome to farming the ocean - I think I'll also try a dolphin steak this wk, too.

  • @budfish41 if I dont get a reply to this comment from you, I will assume you died of mercury poisoning haha!

  • this video is not really informative... it's just a bunch of disturbing images without any explanation

  • this video purpose is to let you think about the issue

  • what issue is that my friend? the issue i find amongst this video is about a fish which is repugnant to today's famine..have you heard of the California farmer who got their water supplied cut due to an "endangered" species of fish? the town which they supplied jobs to are now living off of food banks.....surely though, the important issue is a fish though correct? don't mean to argue my friend, but i am confused to your reply on my comment and i find you slightly misinformed. forgive me.

  • myself*

  • I thought it'd be a lot worse. Did they think people didn't know someone actually has to kill the fish for us to eat it? Greenpeace has influenced me to eat more tuna. Who knew they rised them so well?

  • I did a tuna pasta bake today actually, nice it was.

  • Yum, nothing is better than a tuna on wheat!

  • LMAO! They can suck my balls. I don't eat any meat other than fish and there's alot of fish I don't eat. They can't make me feel guilty.

  • upstart1776, it's smart-ass, pea-brained idiots such as yourself, that give us humans (and especially arrogant Americans) the ugly image that we've earned.

And Guilt-Peacers?? Wow, I guess maybe it's an almond not a pea huh...soon enough there won't be any fish left to eat but hopefully the mercury poisoning will get to you before that!

Or maybe you'll get gutted like a fish even...now that would be nice.

TheEminenthistorian, isn't much of a historian either now is he? Humans were fish!!

  • executed very badly...

  • hmmm, didnt know there was hammerhead sharks in my tuna...

  • just ask rachel maddow .she can tell ya all ya want to know about tuna. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa. sorry had to catch my breath.

  • is this supposed to make me feel guilty or soemthing?..because it doesn't. It just makes me want take a machine-gun to Guilt-Peacers. fish are here for us to eat and put in aquariums, that's it.

  • Can you imagine the same done to Humans..

  • Fish aren't humans hippy!!!!

  • Imagine.

  • You can imagine it all you want, truth is it doesn't.

  • Very good !!!!! Makes you think!!!!

  • Coll clip! Well done! KEEP IT UP!

    Evandro

  • North American BS always have to find a bad side to everything geez just try to enjoy everything how it is.

  • now i rly crave tuna

  • Mmmmmmmmmm they all look so delicious!

  • save the animals!!!! convert to cannibalism.

  • Greenpeace should expose the jingoism surrounding the sudden U.S. media campaign against Somali pirates. K'naan the Somali rapper knows that for years and years European ships illegally dump nuclear waste in the warm waters (far more dangerous than cold) of its Indian Ocean coast. Check out the facts, people, and make peace with those teen-aged guardians. War is for raging male hormones, but justice should be for all.

  • I get all my political facts from Somalian rappers.

  • So true, this video is complete bullshit faggotry.

  • Mmmmm...I love tuna!

  • I see the point... but being so fanatical tends to fade the points out.

  • I agree. I think such harsh scare tactics tend to turn people off. Most like things put gently, even when the truth is bad. It's either they want to stay ignorant and pretend it's not happening because they are too disturbed by the truth, or they simply feel chastised.

A more gentle, Ghandian approach might do better. It may take more time and patience, but in the long run, people tend to like you and listen to your points.

  • And what is used to make vegetables grow? Chemicals or shit.

Here you are little mama's honeypoo. Eat all your salad now.

  • There are several issues with current fishing practices. This video tackles the issue of bycatch- which includes endangered species. Another problem is the support consumers are unwittingly giving to pirate fishers who disregard regulations- they further deplete populations and steal fish from honest fishermen. Most importantly however, is the fact that tuna (all species now) are in serious decline. This will be the last decade for the consumption of wild fish. Know both sides of the argument.

  • The bigger point- Being an educated consumer does not make you a pussy.

  • I am DJRAP and love what Greenpeace are doing which is why I offered this music for this piece of film. There is no need for the cruelty we humans inflict on animals and the planet. We can find ways to be sustained and to sustain peacefully.

  • legend

  • True that.

Got to make sure fishies are around for future generations to enjoy and to eat. :)

  • Spam Video, 95% of this video had nothing to do with Canned Tuna fishing. I do not work for the tuna fishing, but I hate lies that may cost me from fishing for what I want to eat..

  • I gave up eatting seafood but I know I should probably go vegetarian.

  • What brands of Tuna Fish is this vid refering to?

  • I love tuna, it's so good. I would eat it, if it wasn't for them catching turtels, dolphins, sharks, and other sea creatures that aren't apart of the legal diet. That's Why I only eat tuna when I catch it myself, (which I don't), or go to a fisherman's market, where they catch'em, one at a time, and you're pretty sure that theymlet go, what ever they weren't supposed to catch. I say, forget buying from a can, buy from an honest fisherman, who catches'em fresh, and catches what he supposed to.

  • why is it ok for you to kill and eat the tuna fish but not the other sea creatures to which you refer?

  • because I'm not a vegatarian, and I will never be one. I like meat, but am strongly against veal, and illegelly hunted fish, and game. Along with in humanely hunted. The ocean, provides most of the food, and edible products that the human eats. At it would e stupid to not dip into this valuable asset we have on this planet. The trick is, is to not abuse this asset, which we sadly already are. I'm sorry people, but I just can't be vegatarian meat is something we're were biologically designed 2 eat

  • Nasty - thanks for reminding me of one of the many reasons I'm a vegetarian.

  • Vegetarian? So you eat dairy and eggs? Fucking nasty, someone should shoot you.

  • cloning the fish would be alot cheaper

  • I guess if you think about it, the most humane and safest thing is catching fish yourself. Just catch what you can eat.

  • Sadly I knew this also great job on protecting the oceans.
