  • wow thats what normacy looks like

  • peace :D

the mordern war or war against terrorism is so senseless xD i think that wars between christs and muslims wont stop because the leaders of the western countrys are thinking that when they take the troops from iraq or afghanistan back the muslims will plan a strike for revenge

believe me guys our childrens will fight against each other because that wont take a end

...and thats rly stupid i mean we the humans are the most inteligent race on earth and we keep killin

  • I'm doing a report on Iraq and I'm just looking for good videos about Iraq. When I saw this one (one out of all those crappy other ones that just make fun of Iraq) I didn't really know things in Baghdad were healing. I always thought it was just as bad as it was with S.H.

  • This is a propaganda film which set up just for camera shot

We gotta pull out our kids from this terrible pointless war

  • this dude is fucking nuts to walk around like that seems like when i was there if i did that my head would of been blown off by a sniper in less then 5 mins

  • To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he

disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."

    Thomas Jefferson

  • What was the date of this story?

  • mid march 2007. ABC does this every year. Check out the new one in 2008.

  • isnt kinda funny? two years ago when things were shit in Iraq There was a news story everynight about Iraq and now that things r getting better u barly ever hear anything about Iraq on the news. All thats on the news now is the economy. it just kinda puzzles me mabye im the only one who has noticed this

  • i agree. Now that the war may be going well for the first time ever, Democrats moves not something else that is bothering Americans AKA: the economy. They will go from one thing to another until one sticks.

  • I am bothered by over-consumption (the american way of life), western greed and conquest is not sustainable. What will life for our grand children be like? If we don't know than our society has failed.

  • OMG send missionaries :D !!!

  • I'm surprised to see this on ABC News lol

  • ok billbacon a lot of soldiers and marines want to be there to make it a better place and it is getting better people there are telling u.s. force were the bad guys are and were ied's are planted so it is getting better

  • I sampled this news story in a remix i made. :] thanks.

  • YaY!!! We can build a Wal-Mart now! (that's sarcasm!)

  • All this shows is that you stitch together a few opportune video clips and you can make an area look as bad or good as you want. The only gauge we really have is soldier death counts. Unfortunately this remains consistent at a rate of about 3 a day.

Unless you want billions of people to die we must secure oil for all countries. Don't be so simplistic. Every process on earth requires oil. Until something else is developed.

  • 3 words ... WACK - A - MOLE

  • The only loser in this war is the American and Iraqi peoples The Bush administration Increased their money but You lost your children, and we also

  • It's fantastic that people in Bagdad feel safer.

But the ultimate question remains: will Iraq become a pro-US - dare I say pro-Israel - Western-styled democracy, how soon, and at what cost?

For how long will the US presence in Iraq be essencial to the regular functioning of the Iraqi democratic institutions, and the continuance in power of the pro-US government?

In simpler terms, when will Iraq ever be prepared (and willing) to "fly right" on its own?

  • Marquis. Maybe they will "fly right" and become a civilized state or not. They were trapped in brutal fear. When a state deposes despotism, this uncivil reaction is typical when radical elements seek control. We have to deny them that so the country has a chance. You would want it for any freedom seeking people. Let Iraq have a chance. We must stop dwelling on negatives. If Lincoln had arrived in Gettysburg and looked at the carnage as failure, millions of slaves would still be in bondage.

  • I find it hard to believe the government would show five points in the country that are in peace. I believe it's propaganda (for what I have no clue) I think I know there tactics by doing so, but I won't interfere. Let's just find world peace without killing each other. We're not barbarians anymore...any of us!

  • If only that were true...or possible...

  • Incorrect. Read the Koran, Haddiths, Suran, cleric notes and then tell me there are no barbarians. Islamic Fascists use a 7th century approach with a death penalty for even uttering words they don't like. Grow up and stop living in a shielded world. Go over there and witness the incest, rape, murder and honor killings. A good deal of the Muslim world IS barbaric. And that is what they understand...We have to fight them on their level. And end this now and forever.

  • Four little towns placed throughout the massive area of Iraq, probably home to some of the richest people in the country. How long till it expands? Probably several years.

  • You obviously have never been there. Zayouna borders SadrCity and with Haifa Street was the most Al-Qaeda/militia entrenched zone. Those areas are clearing now. You just don't want it to succeed. Face it. Democrats/liberals have a vested interest in failure because it proves their "point". The left can drop dead. They had their protests and when this is over and Iraq changes you can choke on your own vomit.

  • Do you really believe that? Really? I for think we should never have gone there but now that we have succeeding is #1 on my list of things to happen. Why wouldn't bush do what needs to be done to make it happen? He stubbornly refuses to negotiate with the countries in that region he refuses to follow the Iraq Study Group Report, he fires talented long term generals, he refuses to work with congress or to listen to the American people, WHY?

  • Yes Ender1zero1 I believe it because I know it. I worked with Afghanistan among other places. Syria and Iran cannot be engaged. Syria is a duplicate of Iraq with total Baathist control. They are the central offices for terrorist groups in Damascus. Actual offices like Fedex. They are the transit point and the state helps move terrorists around the world on Syrian airlines etc. They are so blatant as to be ridiculous. Syria should be next on the hit list. That would leave Iran totally isolated.

  • you Idiot fool.... Syria is generous enough to provide refuge for two million iraqis displaced by enduring freedom....but sure Iraqi people r not your 1st concern...you stupid fuck...I hope you lose your arms and legs By an IED...maybe you would then feel pain and be human again

  • Americans and Iraqis stand together in unity....let us all hope that Iraq becomes the example of liberation for the Arab world. Remember those nations that stood in solidarity with the common Iraqi in its struggle to rid itself of a tyrannical dictator.

  • lol are serious the American Administration are killing and supporting al malki in killing the iraqi people viva iraq viva Iraqi resistance

  • you talk about the arab world as if you have any knowledge of it! you think all arab countries are like Iran and Iraq. UAE, Tunisia, and Morocco are all arab countries who live in peace and are prospering. don't be ignorant and judge everyone as if they are Iraq or Afganistan.

now back to topic. I'm happy the kids get to enjoy and have some fun. hopefully it lasts

  • God bless Iraq. God bless Iraqi resistance

  • Heartwarming. God bless Iraq.

  • CNN's Michael Ware is going to have a hissy fit over this one.

  • I noticed the first person to rate this video gave it a "1".

    Why?

You don't like to see many Iraqis happily living their lives?

You don't like to see everyday Iraqis operating businesses and happy that security is improving?

You don't like to see Baghdad's Amusement Park opened back up for the kids to enjoy?

  • angryamerican, it was likely a liberal, which means no they don't want to see happy iraqis operating businesses with a possibly improving security situation... because that won't help get their guy's elected, and in the end that's all that matters for the left. No matter how many people get killed or how much they aid the enemy, it doesn't matter, so long as it makes Bush/GOP/America look bad enough that Dems can win elections by default.

  • Some people are just...haters.

  • How did good news about Iraq get past the censors??? Heads will roll!

  • I don't know how it happened either but I'm glad for it.

  • You made an account just to say that? You have one video watched... this one. It is also marked as a favorite.

  • Great to see. Too bad more credit can't be given to the Bush Administration and our boys on the ground.
