The only thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth is that 3/2 led the way into Baqubah. 1/3 of those names on that wall are from 3/2 but they aren't recognized as such because they are listed under Cav and 4/2. Good video. Much love and respect for the men that lost their lives there. RIP Chevy (KIA March 14, 2007) and RIP Jesse (KIA Easter Sunday 2007). They weren't mentioned in this video.
This is so hard to watch. We are all so proud of you guys. And thank you so much for posting my husbands name SGT Dariek Dehn I love you always and forever.
I was assinged with 4/2 1-38th. I remember the the KIAs. some ask me whats the worse KIA and i reply, "ALL KIA". Its different to watch KIAs on tv/dvd, but when you go to the mortuary affairs, it hits home and it will, that is with me. my KIAs are as follows: PFC Anothony Sausto, SSG Thomas McFall, PFC CedenoSanchez, CPL Garcia, Jason Lee, Christopher Nelson, PFC Julius Ferrero, SPC Nicholas Olson, SPC Jason Lemke, SPC Luke Ruyan. I wont forget and so shouldnt all veterans of OIF. Thanks!!!
I also was in 3/2, and it was a painful yet bittersweet reminder of friends and brothers in 5/20 and 1/23 who met their fate in Baquba. I believe it's safe to say that 2/3, 1/23 and 5/20 would all mourn whenever the word spread of a loss, regardless of the BN they belonged to. It saddens me to think that more than half the casualties our brigade, Third Brigade, suffered came after our extension.. Some of these are faces I haven't seen in years. Thank you for posting this.
All I have to say is wow. Thanks for sharing korcasalegno. God bless you, and all of the unbelievably brave Americans who put their lives on the line.
I watch this from time to time - when the politics gets too much - to remind me of what you, my father, and many others endured at FOB Warhorse. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting this- My son Sgt Joel W Lewis- KIA 5/6/07 Stryker Brigade 5/20 3/2 along with Pursel, Alexander, Romeo, Alexander, Bradshaw - May they all RIP
. Thank you for this film. No words are necessary. If you were there you know. If you weren't count yourself as lucky. For me, I am a better man for it. Nov 06-Jan 08. 571st MP CO.
I must say this video is so emotional....4-2ID was my final unit before i got out. I was over their during surge around the exact time (2007-2008). So many names i knew on the film....3 were in my exact BN and one i watched in the hospital.....sad but deep...thanks for the film and for not forgetting, because i surely will never forget what they died for and whut i went thru...take care "brother in arms"...GOD BLESS!!!!!!

I was there in Warhorse from oct, 06 to Nov, 07. We did over 250 missions outside the wire and I knew some of those guys in that video. Thanks for this video.
