  • Thanks for the great video. Just changed the tensioner and belt in under 30 minutes.

  • i also have a 5.0 ,, how do you  remove that dam belt !!!! 2000 explorer....

  • @mrtwmccoy Yeah the 5.0 is tougher, much less room in the engine bay to work with. It should be very similar in overall procedure though. You should have a sticker in the engine bay with a belt routing diagram and a picture of how to turn the tensioner to loosen the belt.

  • What happens if the belt is too tight??? Are they automatically a certain adjusment due to the notches u indicated??

  • @AS0C1AD0S The belt tensioner is designed to apply just the right amount of tension. So there isn't any way for it to end up too tight.

  • I have a 1997 ford explorer 5.0 and its totally different..do you know how to do that one?
