We all know that consoles save processing power in racing "sims" by giving canned effects. Canned effects means pre processed formula's that do not take into account the multitude of calculations it takes to render a realistic result.
PC gaming is superior and Live For Speed is superior to rFactor and iRacing.
@blacksoul666guitar It's possible. You just need it to be like damage to the car. If something triggers it e.g a burnout, then the tire becomes 'damaged' and starts to degrade through a process. The only hard part about it is the rotation of the tires. If they can get past that, then it will work for sure.
Is not deforming as much as its getting inside the ground...
The Getaway (1st one) on the PS2 has better tire deformation, if you shoot a tire you could actually see it go flat and run flat on the ground for a while before it shredded.
@GraveUypo Actually I wouldn't blame it so much on the tire profile, but rather the camera angle.
The tire deformation is definitely there and pretty easy to spot on that car, it's just for whatever reason I decided to use that camera when I should have used one that was from an angle instead.
@robtubity So? If they would bother putting tire deformation in Forza they might as well take into account the horribly expensive veyron tyre compound + its extremely low profile tyres, that dont even have enough rubber to deform.
And you wouldnt think that I know its Forza Motorsport 3, for example from, say reading the title?
Thats a bad car for this type of test. Veyrons have 20.000$ tyres that are like space age technology so they dont REALLY deform to a point where you can notice a difference.
And when I clicked here I thought the tires will get ripped to shreds and we will see it getting eaten while you do burnouts.
@llinkll yeah, a bunch of gran turismo players with their "real driving simulator", dont have a clue about LFS, wich had tyre deformation from the very beginning! and is a simulator that doesnt need that stupid slogan to prove or remember something
@Weelious225 lol good point, but also take a look at the walls of the tires..look at the shading, pause at :12, and the play and you'll see that the area around the will move as well in relation to the actual weight of the car during turns.
@zelatur Yeah, I know what you mean. It would be nice if there was some actual movement like GRID or PGR with the interior view just to make things a bit more exciting.
@obscurethought forza 4 they finally did so, they added track bump deformation, it's slight but it's enough to throw you off, if you've played 200 laps in the Zonda C on the forza 4 demo like me you'll notice it after awhile, the simulation setting is a bless aswell
That's not tire deformation, that's clipping. The bottom of the tire is a little below the road except when it hits a bump which causes the tire to bounce, revealing the full tire.
Isn't this just the tire clipping through the floor lol?

@Turkeyboy696X That's just mesh deforming. Real time tire deformation is completely different.
blacksoul666guitar 3 months ago
@blacksoul666guitar Oh. Well it doesn't matter really. If you can get it to degrade while spinning is an achievement.

Kind of silly to show it off in a low profile tire isn't it?

There's so much more important stuff to simulate better before you start worrying about tire deformation.

There isnt any Tire Deformation, its just the overlap between the Map and the Tire.
Birdhammer3 5 months ago 2
@Birdhammer3 there is, just not visible on a tyre with such a small profile. this is a pretty retarded video if you ask me...
to actually see tyre deformation you need smaller rims.

How to make a car with movement inside car.
Get sway bars and suspension, ride height high, all springs soft and Sway bars soft :3
Best with an SUV
