@E30board No way man the Carrera GT is an engineering masterpiece. The M3 is still a great car but not nearly as fun or as rewarding as the Carrera GT. Yes its more expensive but what a car. And plus it sounds way better too and looks better by far

@sparke1999 yes but carrera is so expensive that i would be afraid not to crash it every second i drive,and you can't really drift with a carrera gt,now that in my book is a big minus....with the e30 is so easy to drift.

i would take the e30 and build it myself and knowevery single detail about it,know that this mean machine was built with my own hands.....and have the pleasure to put a carrera gt to the test!!!

it had a s50b30 moteir with twin turo

approxiamtivly 550hp,

NOW the motor ha s chaged for an s38b38,

the motor had now 3.9l sigle turboand it developped 840 horse power

the gt was not trying coz he didnt know the track well . the bmw BROKE THE LAW and under took two bikes on the wrong side like a twat !!

his bmw needs the suspention setting up for that track coz hes got loads of understeer. and

wheres the rest of the track . they cut it half way round ,

Just because a car has twin turbo, it don't mean it makes ungodly amounts of power, a 300ZX is twin turbo stock, and it makes about 280hp at the wheels, heck, i've seen twin turbo 1.0 Daihatsu Charade Diesels.. and it barely makes 100hp.

It's all about other mods made, and the boost pressure, then there's throttle control, wheelspin = slow, less throttle means less wheelspin, and you go faster.

I know the 300ZX got twin turbo stock, it's why i mentioned it, even if it's twin turboed, it's only got 280hp, thus a S38B38 needen't have huge power gain from the twin turbo setup, might be around 400 maybe, as it's stock got around 335hp, but i don't know what mods have been done, so i don't automatically assume twin turbo = 1000hp.

And BMW makes I6 engines, not V6 engines.

BMW engines, you put the S38 before the B38, the S30 is the engine code, it's a more modern M88 engine, B38, lets you know it runs on Benzin, which is Gasoline, and 38 lets ya know it's a 3.8, much like the M20B25 from a e30, lets ya know it's a M20 engine, that runs on gasoline, and is 2.5 liters.

Its not difficult to read the wikipedia pages to find out the stock power of an engine. All I meant to say was, he probably doesnt have 80mm compressor wheel GT45r turbos like you do. The video says the car was running on 1.0 bar of boost, which is about 15psi. The S38 doesnt have the volumetric capacity to make 900hp on 15psi.

@laz163 Not everyone has the same goals and he doesn't have two huge GT45 turbos or anything near that size. Did that occur to you? Could be smaller than GT28R's. Building a "Fast" car doesn't mean it's built one way - "Fast" ... Seriously, a drag car, circuit, street, etc are all going to have different goals and limitations that will be a factor on the configuration of their; power curve, gearing, suspension, etc, also lets not forget time, money and getting engine/machine work done, tuning..

@laz163 Regardless of what motor it has in it the size of the turbos will depict the amount of power it will have. I don't care if it had a V10, if the turbos are small frame, then it's not going to have much peak power. And the guy said it only had 550hp, I think it's safe to assume the turbos were small-frame or someone.
