  • Overpriced products like this are one of the reasons that a lot of people don't use bikes, and still use cars, because simple items like tyres cost almost as much for bikes as they do for cars - my car tyres cost £30 each, a bike tyre can easily cost £20, for about a twentieth of the material, and way less R&D and technology.

There's nothing wrong with derailleurs anyway, dirt cheap (if you want cheap ones), reliable, easy to fix, easy to adjust, you can buy a new one if your old breaks, etc.

  • This hub is one of the best examples of rip off cycling - it's £1,000! I can buy several high quality bikes for that amount of money. I can buy a good quality second hand car, in fact TWO perfectly good secondhand cars, for £1,000. It's an absolute rip off, and ridiculously expensive. Even the NuVinci hub gear is only £360, and offers infinite gears and a 360% gear range. Rohloff should have designed it better, or used robots to manufacture it, etc.etc.

  • Wow, never thought i'd call a German accent sexy, but the voiceover lady is great.

  • It is much simpler to use Vedeneev's Variator gear set. It is CVT with fantastic properties, ideal for bikes

  • You're the Boss Rohloff ;) incredibly amazing

  • This+hammerschmidt=Ultimate DH gearset

  • 14 speed? quality product right here!
