IM SO PUMPED i brought this to my school and told everyone about it and showed them the movies i cant wait for this. I hope this film changes the lives of others like the rough cut changed mine
thats shitty, really, if only some more people got involved, i mean, you cant just know about it but do as if you didnt! i just heard of it a week ago now and im really shocked!!! we're going to do a fund raiser at my college for them, i hope it will help in a way.
Okay guys, I have an idea. Now I didn't know about this organization til today & I wanna get the word out so I think we should organize a mass donation simultaneously around the world to draw attention to this organization globally. Now I want everybody spreading the word on the streets & online & saving money & necessities while we decide on a date & time of utmost importance to the Ugandan community to donate across all time zones. I'd like this translated into all languages. Spread the word.
There is a gourmet coffee company that gives 10% of all it's profits to the Invisible Children of Uganda. Here is the site if you decide you want to check it out. boreshacoffee . com/sundeen This company is set up for fund raisers as well.
This doesn't matter what color they are, Black or White.
When I first saw this I didn't even think about the fact that they are black and it wouldn't change my views in any way if they were white, or anything else.
No children should have to go through this no matter what race they are.
I honestly think that this is a charity worth supporting, and if the government doesn't do anything about it then we should.
I can't wait for this film, and hopefully many people see it and try to help it.
i agree 100% i'm doing an argumentive essay and an oral presentation on this in my english class. i went around all the students in my class and asked them a simple question which was, did you know that there is a war taking place in uganda, sudan and the DR congo. not one person knew what the hell i was talking about. one guy even had the nerve to say "if it's not in iraq i don't give a shit". australia does nothing about it and i honestly think it is all because they come from africa.
i agree with you 100%. want to know the sad thing? being an american i know that our government is spend 10 billion$ a WEEK in iraq. thats BULL SHIT. think of what ONE billion$ could do for these kids in uganda... and sudan, and all over africa. but no. they dont care because they are sefish idiots who dont look at the big picture. its things like that that make me want to get out of this stupid country.
out of the 11 groups in conflict throughout all of Africa, 9 of them have recieved american training and weapons. of course the US goverment is not going to do anything to stop that cash flow, they're making millions
not just usa, mate. British, russian, norwedgian, and paramilitary forces benefit supremely as well. Africa is a shit hole. Its a beautiful place, but its a shit hole. Too large, too unorganized.
this movie was intense. there is genocide and injustice all over the world, but no one is getting involved. thank you guys so much for having some courage to bring this atrocity to light and trying to do something. it is inspirational and keep doing what you are doing.
i saw the rough cut of this last november at school for a seniors project. i had no idea they were coming out with a feature film about it but i am definitely going to go see it. even from the rough cut you get a lot of the story, like sunday's. this whole thing is heart wrenching and makes you realize what is happening on the other side of the world right at this moment.
Its horriable. Since I was little, I always wanted to go to Africa and learn about their history and all that. But this, this amazed me. It makes me wanna go there, and learn about them, and help. This, it scares me on seeing how the kids are treated... Its horriable..
Even if we tried to come over there it would just start war you know. Its not that easy. We do want peace. The only thing we can do is pray. But also still try to aid help over there.
That's not true. The issue are rebels, not the Ugandan government itself. And there already is a war there. The worst we could do is aid people. The best is end a war.
Thats a terrible argument! The only way to help someone is to sit around and do nothing? Try telling that to the followers of Martin Luthor King jr. and Ghandi. Or maybe followers of the current day election, or maybe any movement that ever mattered in history.....yes...indifference and stamping USA all over bags of food will stop genocide in africa....................................
i totally agree! blood diamond is one hell of an eye opener to me! Rebels who force children to become soldiers...children, holding guns instead of a book! Instead of going into school they go to camps bec they were forced to.Looks like the government doesn't care about them...sad..really sad...
if you dont beleave this is real you need an update in your life. The invisible children is a real cause and high schools, colleges, and major universities are involved with the schools for schools program maybe you should look it up here on youtube
and what is our government to do to stop ignoring it? send aid? we've been sending aid. It just gets intercepted by the corrupt Ugandan government? what else is there to do? fight their rebels as some Ugandans would wish? well we've tried that before with another nation. we tried that in Iraq... and look how america has responded to it..
I saw some of your film at a womans conference and i can't look at our sunday school kids anymore without the reminder of these kids sleeping in a hole, keep it up, i will keep the awareness started here in Australia
wow all you care about here is the movie. this is a serious issue going on and all you think about is seeing 3 guys go into a country during a civil war.
i saw this in my youth group the other day. i was shocked at seeing this cuz i didn't really know that some parts of the world were going through this stuff. me and my friends were speechless. nice work
