  • In principle you are right.

Musharraf really was Pakistan's "Get out of jail card" after Nawaz had plundered the country into bankruptcy ( I am sure you can understand my reference). He did us a favour by sending Nawaz (and his Amir-ul-Momenin amendment) away, and recording a near avg 7% growth rate for the GDP.

I am less than convinced that Western Democracies are ideal for every country, esp. Pakistan, where voters are slaves ( yes, human slaves) of their Feudal masters.

  • The Pakistan Army is the ONLY professional and clean institution in Pakistan. Most Pakistani politicians are crooks and criminals. If Politicians ever get hold of Army they will turn it into a corrupt institution like Pakistan police or WAPDA, by giving their relatives and friends jobs in the army.

With Mr. 10% running the country we need an independent strong army to keep a check on these corrupt politicians.

we won't let criminal politicians hijack army in the name of democracy

  • @ibians

Listen its not a standard that america can only influence one person.. look at korea, china, cuba and iran they all are not according 2 ur standard democracy but they r defiant & a thorn in the neck of usa so tke thi messed up logic out of ur head and nawaz use 2 lick the balls of clinton & sold out kargil war whn Sir Musharraf took over clinton was so distrubed tht didnt even shok hand with Sir Musharraf in public when he came to pak.

  • exagerated ? then why can't the now corrupt goverment exagerate it...

he freed the media, now he has to take responsibility for the 10.000+ people who act irresponsible and serve the jews? no way he freed the media with good intentions and for a media revolution, zionists saw a chance and then misused it. thats why geo got shut down...

pakistan is still in a much better state then in 1999 when pakistan would not even hold a long time war against amerika,

he's not perfect he is human

  • Certainly not, if an economy is to be tiger in its real strength it wudnt hav melt down the way it did. The growth rates were just exaggerated, how come u wud suddenly come from over 7-8% to just 2-3%. Think ppl think.

  • My dear friends u myt b ryt about freeing up media, but y do u forget da fact dat freeing up media has actually served the American-Jewish policies. Within less than a decade, look where our society is heading. I m nt a fundamentalist or extremist, but consider the thorns of secularism which is evolving in our society. As far as the tiger economy goes, does a tiger economy suddenly bent down on its knees, after Musharraf left.

  • I dnt understand why are there so many pro-Musharraf's. You ppl are simply leaving out the possibility that whenever U.S wants to interfere in the region, the simple trick is to support army generals. The U.S know that if a democratic process is in continuation, it wud b really difficult to order a parliament, whereas u cud easily control and dictate a single man.

Zia contributed in providing full support thru ISI to the U.S cause in Afghan, and Musharraf also did the same.

  • Providing justice to each individual irrespective of wealth & color means building a sense of protection resulting in sense of responsibility & devotion in him later on leading to the development of that particular institute or country. But the political filth of Pakistan cant afford to do so. As they are the people of Meer Jafar/Meer Sadiq Community ready to be auctioned for their personal interests & to destroy Pakistan in all fields of life. If justice is applied as above they are nowhere.

  • Sensible.

  • Good effort im Boston USA and i love comments on Musharraf that he was or he is not best but better than we stupid democrats we have,

nice approach and Jeo Musharraf pakistan really need you

  • hi Imran, a nice effort to become Neutral and coming out of a JANG Fabio which you still have somewhere with you.

Musharraf has done so much for the country if want to know i can make a list of those things and sent it to you? we better off with those kind of dictatorship than these bloody corrupt democracy.

you live in New York and thats why talking about democracy....please don't compare the system in Pakistan with US.

  • Agreed.

  • Musharraf's "dictatorship" was a hundred times better than any democracy Pakistan has every seen in the last 60 or so years. I do appreciate the need for you to be neutral in ure commentary though.

  • Hi Imran,

You said that we will not take any tyrants in Pakistan whether elected, unelected or dictators...

And you also admitted that theres a need for cleansing of all the corruption from our politics and that will be really hard to do. But there were no suggestions as to what can be done for all this.

I am curious to know what are your views about the current political setup in pakistan. Do you think pakistan should come up with its own unique political system to deal with all our problems?

  • Never are the Pakistani people gratefull, he did not just choose to interfer, he is and was the best leader of Pakistan after Quaid e Azam.

May Allah bless Pakistan and Musharraf

    Ameen!

  • Musharraf gave so much democracy, something which Pakistani media seems unable to handle, he gave you powers and you STABBED him in the back.

He gave Pakistan IT boom, building boom, massive investment by LOTS of multinational companies, stockindex was best performing, economy was transformed into a tiger economy country one of the fastest growing.

  • This is a great capsulization of the history/situation in Pakistan and I hope lots of people see this. You're terrific on camera, BTW.
