@bionictrucker1 the axle actually stays on the ground through turns due to the heavy weight of the tractor (43,000lbs). We rarely lift it and only do in certain situations with "humped" surfaces. Good thought though.
@chevyz711998 3.8mpg with the wind at our back and downhill...;) The truck and trailer weigh 72,000lbs empty, throw in 6 drive shafts and yes, you got a diesel guzzler
@90redgiant how much does your oversized permit cost anually? i know normal trucks can weigh up to 80,000 full with out the special permit. and what do you guys put in the trailor?
Ok people, I know Australia has road trains. We are on two different pages here. We are only talking about the tractor. Not the over all length plus trailers.
I've had chance to eat dinner with Bryan Dax in Ruthers Glen,Virginia.Semi is off the chain. We talked about what his concept is for this truck.I hope you get what you need to make this happen Bryan.Remember what we talked about and have faith in making this come ture.Never doubt yourself brother and the dreams you create.Nathan.
@born2flyau We did in fact have this beast in Times Square in NYC back in late October - navigated those streets with no problem - Tighter yet was Hoboken, New Jersey - though it sure helped to have police escorts!
Sure we make big wide turns, but other motorists have politely moved out of the way; they really have no choice:)
@Dre4774 The cab is customized like an RV inside with wood floors, bathroom, pull down bed, fridge, two burner stove, microwave, dining table, LED lighting, central vacuum and more. The wheelbase is 430 inches...
@mjcygnus Imitated but not duplicated - this truck was in Wisconsin on that day - The only trailer it pulls is the 53' trailer seen in the video above.
I recognized ICT as the sleeper manufacturer and gave Woody at Indiana Custom a call. It was built early this year, is 200" long and features 2 - 7'x11' sliders used to mount the large flat screen TV (s). A great example of an inventive trucker - he has it on a marketing contract. It looks like it could draw a crowd! Thank you for the post!!
@stayingman you are correct, it is in fact an ICT sleeper that measures in at 252" on a 430" wheelbase - The LED screens are 11'x6'. Some of you may have seen this truck on tour with Alex The Ice Road Trucker late last year. Come see us at the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville March 31- April 2, 2011.
you know your tractor is long when you have like 12 carrier bearings

I passed this truck last week on the West Virginia Turnpike, I didn't see no tv on the side. Is there a way they can cover it up?
cj382 10 months ago 13
@cj382 Im no expert but, I think it has two big covers that go over the TV's.
CourtnRob 10 months ago 10
@CourtnRob Rob is correct, there are 2 covers to protect the screens from flying debris

@90redgiant Whats the length of a regular truck pinned up?
CourtnRob 11 months ago
@CourtnRob With a 53 foot trailer most are 70-80 feet depending on sleeper length.
