Looks good. Now that #2 fuel oil is ultra low sulfur. Marine diesels don't stink anymore.

Volvo are the only diesels 100% made for sea.
Sometimes they are too heavy for smaller boats though.

This particular diesel engine is built by Yanmar and branded as a Yamaha, Yanmar is the worlds largest engine company. Yanmar engines are very reliable and economical to operate , John Deere uses them in the small consumers (compact) tractors.

Yamaha diesel...WTF? I think I stick with a Cummins, CAT, Detroit Diesel, MTU, MAN, etc.....pretty much anything but a Yamaha!

yamaha is fuckin nuts,, im buying a suzuki outboard, but im impressed with yamaha,, motorcycles,, outboards,, outdrives,, pianos,, guitars,, my old man plays in a classic rock band, and his PA speakers, yup, theyre yamaha, anything they dont make???? lol,, soon to come,, latex condoms, by yamaha

well yanmar and yamaha are two compleatly different companys.
the base engine is a toyota. yamaha is trying to break into the diesel market or trying to create some new market of repowering outboard powered boats with diesel engines.
it looks like a piece of shit to me. the corosion problems on that engine will be out of control.

that aint nothing but a Yanmar 6lp-dte with a goofy marinazation done by yamaha. funky looking after cooler and evern busyer looking plumbing than yanmar gives them.
