This a very helpful video!thanks for posting. you guys interested in becoming an iPhone Developer?one of the most lucrative and exciting job nowadays. Bitzio is currently looking for promising iPhone developers as of now. So if creating applications is your hobby, why not make money out of it!subscribe to my channel to learn more about what it takes to be an iPhone developer. see you around!
Learning to build mobile applications is not an easy endeavor. It can be done, but you must have the drive and aptitude to overcome the many challenges. If you are looking to create a mobile app for your business (or idea), you should simply hire a qualified professional.
I know many talented (and affordable) mobile developers (freelancers and agencies). I'd be happy to provide an introduction.
I will never go back to Windows 7 or a Microsoft Product for that matter. I love macintoshes and apple mobiles. I have jumped over the fence and will never go back, ever!
@yaronkl Any intel based Mac will do. So, any of the ones you mentioned. I do recommend something with a min of 4GB of ram. You can even just get a Mac Mini if you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
Question, you mentioned the 99 dollar subscription fee, post that is there a fee "per" app you upload to the store or is it simply a % of the app profit that goes to apple.
@bstahlhood how do you make revenue on your app if its free? i know you can get advertisement on it, but how do you get advertisement on your app, do you know?
@Weser2k9 Officially, yes. You would need an Intel Mac. There are hackintosh setups where you can do it using a standard PC, but if you can, I recommend a Mac for path of least resistance ;)
@bstahlhood "I recommend a Mac for path of least resistance ;)"
i second that lol, i'm using a hackintosh and unfortunately my hardware is not compatible with some stuff and using it is like hell.... better off just getting a mac if you have the money.
@wildreams Yes. The 99 covers your full dev account which allows deploying and testing on actual devices. It also gives you your iTunes Connect account where you will need to sign contracts.
Thanks for the video. You speak clearly and don't leave me behind. As a beta tester for a experienced developer I've known how to put the .ipa and mobile provisioning files into the mobile apps folder and install betas but now that I'm learning for myself I needed to know how to share my apps with others to have them test my apps.
I'm having trouble downloading Xcode and iOS SDK 4.2, and yes I haven't enrolled. Whenever I click on the download link it takes me to a blank page, anybody know why this might be?
Do you think i could create apps by myself, i have a love making games, but very little experience on 'proper programs'. I have a great game idea but im unsure ill be able to use this software properly.
@EasttSideCustomZ For the "easiest" route to development, you would want to develop on a Mac. I have read and heard of ways to go the hackintosh route and get a dev env set up on a PC, but you would need to research that further.
Thank you so much! im hopefully getting a mac soon. two questions, would a MacBook Pro (13 inch) be appropriate for apple development? and would you please make a tutorial of actually submitting an app and possibly even going through the process of creating a paid app? thank you so much!!!!
@DORC101 Yes, a MacBook Pro is sufficient for development. I will do my best to get some tutorials up for the submission process and In-App Purchases.
good video sir.. but i want to ask something, in my iOS dev center, there is not a link to go to the forum (the lowest link is to go to the sample code section). is this feature only for the paid member of apple dev program?
