  • Can someone pls tell me in what ratio do starch and water have to make this shit as perfect as possible?

  • @MilanDLegendary 1:1.5-2 cornstarch:water ratio

  • @Airmistify Thank you.

  • is jiz non-Newtonian?

  • Yay cousin Paul and cousin Jill

  • homer simbson: oooohhh milk

  • 5:04

the blue guy is running like charackters from dragon ball^^

  • Pausing every few seconds starting at 0:53 to actually READ what it says...

  • they could have at least tried to explain the law....still really cool

  • wut the fuck yd they cut it off i wanted to see him sink in the shit

  • 3:00 somebody is having sex in the speaker

  • 2:11 That's some x-men shit right there!

  • @RichardTran0 wow you are really dumb

  • i wonder how they record those sound effects.

  • what is the ratio?

  • Nice dance

  • i tried using corn syurp and water..... damn it >_<

  • Drink 3 pints of it, a bit later you'll have non newtonian turds. If you step on one slow you sink into it, and if you throw one.. It'll just bounce! XD

  • it's like lastgoodid says: there are different kinds of non-newtonian fluids, so some don't work like this . . .

i SO want to do this, though. :D

  • blood is non-newtonian?

then imma take all the blood out of my body and walk across it

  • I'd like to see what happens when this stuff is shot O_o bullet bouncing off "water"! :)

  • im gonna go now and punsh some ketchup :D

  • 4:46

    "Oh no!"

  • so that is how jesus walked on water he threw some cornstartch in it......

  • My friend and I are going to make some tomorrow, and I need to know, how many parts corn starch to water?

  • So close but wrong change the frequecy of water to match your feet dance if bloods a nonnewtonian fluid you dont need cornstarch

    Do it backwards like Jesus

  • I made some of that before. It`s so cool.

  • Maybe that's what quicksand is. Time to call Mythbusters. =D

  • i say shoot it

  • I celebrate Non Newtonian Day D:

  • use a pogo stick on it lols

  • could you make full body suits of this? :P i mean. if someone hits you, it slows down the impact by being hard goo, but you could still move around. (but i think not so fast :P)

  • @ploothable believe or not, the military is testing versions of this same stuff for newer ballistic armor and other things like that

  • i love the sounds that shit makes

  • What if you got your face caught under? How hard would it be to get back up?

  • true but katsup and mayo don't work nearly as good as cornstarch and water

  • Since Ketchup is non newtonian and Im assuming Mayonaise is too lol why waste money on non newtonian fluid when Ketchup, Mayo, and such are already Non Newtonian :D WOOH TIME TO RUN ACROSS SOME KETCHUP.

How is Non Newtonian fluid really so much, not like a cup of it is $1,000

Its just Corn Starch and Water...

  • @RichardTran0 to put the stuff in a large pool people may say that it takes a concrete mixer to do it. You're not gonna take a plastic spoon and mix it in a large pool.

  • @RichardTran0 Where Did you come up with that?

  • @RichardTran0 It Mayonnaise and Ketchup are not the same kind of non newtonian fluids than corn starch, in fact they are the opposite: they get more fluid with motion, when corn starch with water gets more viscous.

  • @RichardTran0 u cannot use ketchup.. ketchup is a shear thinning fluid while oobleck is shear thickening, if u ran across ketchup u would sink faster than if u walked slowly

  • @RichardTran0 well they make "special" mix's of it so its different

  • @RichardTran0 Ketchup is trixotropic fluid.] Thixotropy means that the fluid viscosity decreases over time given a constant shear. In other words, fluid motion is initially difficult to start, but once flowing will continue to do so freely.

  • @RichardTran0 theres many types of non newtonian fluid; the corn starch and water mixture is a dilatant, meaning it will get more rigid when stress is applied, which allows you to walk across it quickly; however, ketchup and mayo are pseudoplastics, which mean they get more runny when stress if applied, so if you tried walking across a pool of that stuff, you'd sink more quickly the faster you tried

  • @RichardTran0 what are you talking about, $1000? It's only as expensive as the ingredients. I've made it at home more than once. With $2 worth of cornstarch and water from the tap, it sure doesn't seem expensive to me...

  • @RichardTran0 Ketchup does the opposite of what this fluid does.

  • @robloxguggi

    still a non newtonian fluid

  • @RichardTran0 What the fuck are you talking about.

and why have 11 people liked your comment. All you need is corn starch and water. It is very inexpensive.

  • @Shyguy419 didn't he say corn starch and water?

  • @RichardTran0

Cornstarch and water is easier and cheaper.

  • @RichardTran0 Ketchup is a "shear thinning" non newtonian fluid. Cornstarch and water is "shear thickening." So it's the opposite: it is very "thick" when only a little force is applied, but becomes considerably "thinner" when more force is applied. That's why it pours slowly when you first tilt the bottle, but accelerates as it builds momentum.

  • do you know how much money people would pay for that whole pool at parts and stuff?????

  • lets slow down, that hoe down

  • haha this is my science project :)

  • i want to do that so much! it looks fun!

  • so cool, nice one dan... 5 Stars
