a lot of people love to say, this guy is better than kirk, that guy is better than kirk, this band is heavier and better than metallica, and in a lot of cases, its true. but i'll tell you this fact, i wasnt into heavy music at all until metallica got big. now i love it. they introduced it, a key stepping stone towards a whole new world i wouldnt have found without metallica. while metallica is still one of my favorites, theyre also an influence into a whole world of music.

Even if Kirk is my favourite guitarplayer i think I can say objectively that this is one of the best solos in history, together with Slash's Godfather theme, Eddie Van Halens Eruption and some improvised stuff from Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai and Jimmy Page. This one here is not just as fast as possible, as melodic as possible or as heavy as possible, its a good mix of all three issues. (Ok in the end it sort of fades to grey, but it is great!!)
