Landscape TV Out for iPhone working with Sky Mobile

Do you have jail break the phone to play the sky app on tv i bought a cheap cable off ebay didnt work only audio no picture do you have to buy the official apple cable to work???

P.S You do not need any dock ect, the cable "APPLE MB128ZA/B Component AV Cable" comes with a usb cable built onto the cable and a mains plug in the box so you charge as you watch anyway. Dont spend money that you dont need to guys!!!!

Guys, all you need is the following cable "APPLE MB128ZA/B Component AV Cable" from Amazon UK £27.50 inc. free del. which came next day (Bargain) and your iphone needs to be jail breaked, search in cydia for "TVOut2". The settings in TVOut2 are already set as default so dont mess around with it, just get cable, download the app, plug in your cable and start up sky mobile and you have it on your tv. Simple as that. Any questions pm me. DONT BUY ANY CHEAPO CABLE FROM EBAY ECT AS THEY DO NOT WORK

i have landscape TV out enabled and 3rd party AV component cable on a iPod touch 3g. I have 'force tv out' and 'enable tv out' on using settings, but I always get a black screen on any app i go on, although I can hear sound. Any help?

Guys, I got jail broke itouch 3.1.2.3g, cydia ect all run fine, what app do I need to get it to stream sky mobile from itouch. I read a non jailed 3g touch would not do this, but jailed ones can...I'm getting the 5 plug component lead, I guess that and this app would work...any help is appreciated. Cheers guys.

it requires routines that arent allowed in appstore apps. you need cydia to get the plugin and its dependancies...

Cheap ones work fine on 3.1.2 a few changes and a download from cydia and bobs your uncle works a treat.

A composite or component AV cable.

Cheap ones from eBay (That say they don't work on 3.x) are fine, but for less hassles, go for a genuine one, they are cheap enough

"force tv out" option should be fine for cables that say they dont work on os3.0

I installed the pragram and it works... But the setup/ calibrating the control/ touch screen is very tricky... I spent over an hour tweaking it in order to touch the buttons within the Madden NFL game.. This program should come with a manual! ;o)

Hi, sorry to be a pain again but ive searched the forum and theres no help. ive got everything and my menu comes up on the TV fine, but when i click a video, i just get a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this or a link to some instructions. Any help would be much appreciated!

It's a known issue and I'm trying to fix it, but there is a temporary fix.

I think Ive sorted everything on my touch to do this. One thing though, Landscape Tv Out is definatley installed, but theres no icon for it. Is this correct? there is settings and ive got it enabled in my settings.

Just gone to my ipod touch which i forgot was already jailbroke, but on firmware 2.0.1. In cydia i cant find this app. Do i need to update anything?

I can get the Sky Mobile app to display on my TV, with the channel menu, but when I select one it doesn't show the video, just a black screen. When I touch the iPhone screen it still shows the 'Done' and fullscreen buttons, just no video. If I then press Done, it shows the video for a split second before returning to the channel menu. I'm using the Apple component cable and a 3G 3.1.2. Anyone else have the same problem?

Turns out this is common, there is a thread on the forum (link in the info box on the right), the temporary fix works for me.

Havnt had my iphone jailbroken for a while as really didnt find much reason to apart from personalising the mobile. But now theres a reason!

Couple of questions though. Is the splitter etc necessary? Can i just have a component cable from the dock to the tv, download the 2 apps and it will work?

No, the splitter is not necessary. Jailbreak, install "Landscape TV Out" from Cydia and you're sweet.

You need a composite/component AV cable. I highly recommend a genuine one. People seem to have troubles with non-genuine cables

that is sick bro!!! i got my ipod touch jailbroken and downloaded that "tv out" app but wasn't sure if i really would be able to watch tv on it. What is the name of the cables that you bought?
