@123halofreak Backwards compatible PS3, the 60gb and some of the 80gb models were BC, I have the 40gb so it's not. There is an update (I think it's in the Japanese store only or something) in the PS store that downloads the software needed for playing PS2 games, but it's not in the UK store, not sure about the US store though.

Well the games do go up to HD. Even though they don't support any format. They look nice in an HD TV with HDMI. So i really does change. Not graphically but the picture is much more clear.

abajo aclaro bien que estoy jugando BLACk en ps3, el juego lo consegui original para poder jugarlo y ademas tengo la PS3 limited edition que venia con 4 puertos usb y lectora de tarjetas de memoria, esta consola era retrocompatible con juegos de ps2, ahora las nuevas ps3 por una cuestion de costo de fabricacion no tienen nada de lo que te detalle anteriormente

@dany080 NO the ps3 slim 250GB or any other ps3 unless its an early 60GB (FAT) model is backwards compatible(I did hear the 80GB too but Im not sure about that) you would think that SONY would support there loyal gamers by letting us play our ps2 collections on there new models.So unless you can buy a well looked after 60GB version? as they are getting old now being the early releases, you will have to keep your ps2 if you want to keep playing any ps2 games you gave SONY your cash for!
