I just rooted last night and installed LauncherPro. I love your setup, that looks like you've got everything just where you need it. Well done, great vid.
@redtmk You have to use another android device to set it up the way you want and then port the backup through SD to your Nook and restore that backup..
Hey Thank you. Because of this video, I went ahead and rooted my nook color. I see you are from Union City. I'm from WNY lol long time ago. I am wondering if facebook gave you any problems? It works for me, but it doesn't load any pictures, it just gives me the triangle with the exclamation mark...If you had any issue with it or any advice, I would appretiate it.
@marioman013 I have started seeing this problem too. I think it has to do with Auto Nooter and the current app version for Facebook as I also run Nookie Froyo from SD and don't see the problem there.
@guhansu It does work. Very well. However, when you log in to see your videos and subscriptions you must log out before you leave the app or it will fail to launch on reopen. This is easily fixed by clearing the YouTube app data in Titanium, but you'd want to avoid having to do that.
Great video! I'm a recent nook color adopter, and I've rooted it using auto-nooter, but I'm having difficulty getting smooth video playback. How did you get Cars to run so well on your nc?
No. Zooms are handled with +/- buttons out of box. No pinch zooming. However, I do believe pinch zooming is enabled for the default PDF reader in stock.
I can't get my LauncherPro to let me create shortcuts or folders on the home screen of my rooted Nook Color. I noticed you used these features extensively. Know of a fix I can try?
you can make shortcuts to apps by accessing the appdrawer and holding the app of choice. After a long press, you will be taken to the home screen where you can drop it where you like,
Not sure what the name of the cover is but it has a set of plastic holders in it to keep the Nook firmly in place. It also has magnets in it so the clasp can keep it shut when closed and the covers together when open. Sold by Barnes and Noble.

Can I ask whether the youtube app really works? Can I log in with my own youtube account?

the nook is the best tablet but its not even a real tablet confusing right?
jpscar94 1 year ago
@jpscar94 B&N did not want it to be a tablet, but it is. They just wrote custom software to limit it's capability.

You have to encode each video to be less than 852 pixels wide.

Best video representing what root can do for you on the Nook. Cheers!

With a converter, will it work with a keyboard like the ipad?

@IncendiarySolution
Apparently the Nook Color has Bluetooth. If the talented gents at XDA get it working it just might, but does not at this time.

@Namicuti
It is the LauncherPro Plus Calendar widget you get when you purchase the full version.

What kernel are you running? Screamer? You don't seem to have any lag which is crazy considering how many apps you are running

This is stock Nooter. No kernals done to it. I generally don't experience lag and I do a lot on the tablet.
