  • when was this, and where is the carcass of the whale now?

  • @blueandgreentours .. i think its june 28, 2011.. i don't know if where they put the whale because we already left after i took the video.. i'm sorry sir..

  • @blueandgreentours .. BTW sir, Local authorities were already there when we left.. you can contact the municipality if you have questions concerning the whale..

  • BTW, there is also Silliman University in Dumaguete for stranding concerns

  • There are trainings available on this. Do contact WWF-Philippines or Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines on Facebook for more information. This looks like a pilot whale and not a sperm whale by the way. Immediate action should be geared towards data collection and release of animal in deeper waters (in a stretcher). Taking this video is a good step. Keeping the animal upright would have helped.

  • @blueandgreentours ..thank you so much for the comment sir.. it never cross in our minds that Silliman University has ideas on this kind of problem.. it would have helped much if we only knew.. thank you for the correction sir. I think i know one professor in Silliman marine biology but i forgot his first name, his last name is GINOO/GUINOO.. his my professor when he was teaching biology in F.U. .. Just wanna say hello to him if you know him..
